i got this code about 2 months ago and at the time my truck was doggy on the bottom end. i replaced the map sensor and it felt good again. well forward to now, my truck has been really doggy again on the bottom end and that darn code is appearing again. could it be possible that i am going to go through 2 map sensors in 2 months? #@$%!the doggyness is really really irritating. i mean i have to really push on the pedal to get going. anyone have any experience with something similiar to this?

P0238 (M) Map Sensor Voltage Too High MAP sensor voltage input above the maximum
acceptable voltage.

Not sure if there is a relay or something sticking or bad elsewhere. I remember reading (Hemmings Muscle Machines - I think) that someone had a similar problem with 3 or 4 MAPs going out within two months. Keeping in mind this was a gas car. However, there was a clean off timer that was bad. The clean off mode apparently puts current to the wire in the MAP when the engine is shut down to burn off dust, dirt whatever so when restart happens it's clean. Not sure if our trucks have this feature or not? I'm sure someone with more knowledge of the electrical air systems on our trucks will read this and put the correct info in our heads.

How much are the MAPs by the way?
