04.5 48RE into a 06 48RE??

My current truck is a 04. 5 with a built 48RE, manual kick down cable. I just bought a 06 Mega with a stock 48RE and 100k with a electronic kick down motor. Does anyone know if I can swap transmissions directly over and bolt the electronic kick down to the older transmission and the kick down cable to the newer transmission? The 06 shifts good for 100k but id much rather have the built trans, I know the resale on the 04. 5 wont be to much more with a built trans vs stock. Any help, info or opinions would be great, thanks!

More knowledgeable people will be along to comment but I "think" 48re's are all interchangeable albeit with very minor mods.

Thanks for the advice, from what Ive read and seen now that I have both trucks side by side they changed the housing in 05 for the electronic kickdown motor mounts so unfortunately they are not interchangeable.

If you change the VB/ TV for 06+ the 03/05 will work. . You can Go UP+, but No cable for 03/05 in the 06+ The TV motor PITR.
