CTD faster than a Powerstroke?? I thing NOT. I had a 97 F350 Crew Cab Duelly that would leave any Cummins in the dust and my truck was 100% stock, except for the drop deck 5th wheel with 13k on it as I was traveling up some of the hills on I-40 between Oklahoma and Calif. I could do 80+ up every hill with NO problem and passed EVERY Dodge. Now, on another note, I was also getting about 9 mpg! or less. i had a 100 gallon fuel cell along with the 2 - 20 gallon factory tanks.
Now, the new improved 03 and newer smaller Powerstroke, I cant say how it stacks up to the CTD. All I can say is that my 04. 5 has been my baby and is NOT a tow truck. Not that it can't, but I dont have the need to pull anything except a small bumper pull travel trailer. So far to date, i have loged a whopp'n 400 miles towing a trailer and I didnt even feel it behind me. I have my CTD for the value, comfort, good looks (soon to change with the 06) and resale value. My 04. 5 has had the best of care and all service as per D/C, except the oil changes. I have that done without fail every 3000 miles. Oil is cheap insurance! I am ready to sell my 04. 5 due to my wife and her tuition at school. This is her last semester and it is about $10k.

OUCH. I would rather part with my beloved truck than go into debt to pay for medical school. Once she graduates and opens her practice, then Ill be getting another. I also have a NEW Corvette picked out for next year!
Anyone interested in my truck, it is in the TDR Classifieds. I might add that Im getting flexable on the price as tuition is due in September!
