Cummins Announces B20 Approval

Had my 550 gal skid tank filled today at $1. 86 per(ouch). Filled up at wally world for $1. 66 per (3 cent discount for wally world card) on Friday-today its $1. 72 per.

Part of the problem may be the recent cold snaps back east. Diesel has traditionally gone up when the winter heating season started (increased demand for heating oil). But it dropped later in the winter when demand fell. But the recent cold weather might have changed that. Supply and demand. But it sounds like some outlets are price gouging also. KL

REMEMBER, Vaseline is a petroleum product also!! Be choosy about what you use to make it more comfortable at the pumps:D :D :D

I dodged the bullet. Filled up at 1. 459 the day before the jumps in Denver. Last check was 1. 679 Sat 2-8-03. Friday it was 1. 579. At least it is still about the same as mid grade unleaded.

Looks like I fix the water pump on the bike and turn into artic boy so I can ride.

I can't believe you guys are complaining about those prices... ... wow. What I would do to be only paying that for diesel. We're paying $0. 68/litre here, times 3. 78litres to US gallon I think, right? Thats $2. 57/US gal here ... ... . :{. Our reg. gas went upto 79. 9 cents/litre this weekend. Thats $3. 02/US gal.

I was thinking about these prices either last night or early this morning. These are the same prices we paid for gasoline in Italy 14 years ago and we were using gas coupons. The locals were paying over $5. 00 per gallon (our measurements). A liter of motor oil (without a coupon) was $9. 00.

I guess when I really think about it - this really ain't tooooooo bad. But it still hurts.

I went home yesterday (35 miles) at 65 instead of my normal 75 . I still left the Ram home and drove the Stratus in at 70 instead of 75. Trying to stretch that go-juice.

Well, my last post needs to be updated. One of the local stations here broke out the numbers 3 & 9 yesterday. Too bad they were in the form of 9 BEFORE the 3. (Both following a 1, of course. ) And these were the cheap guys in December! :{

Well I'm going to beat this foreign oil crap NOW!! Getting ready to run WVO in my truck, what's WVO? WASTE VEGGIE OIL All I'm going to say is this $. 54 a gallon. If you are interested take a look at the article in Home Power mag www.homepower.org I drive my truck 500 miles each week, not including the weekends. Anyone else going to/is doing this?

$1. 80 for diesel, FMR

:--)

I just paid $1. 70, up from $1. 50 this past Saturday. Thought about getting out the bicycle, but 63 miles each way to work might take me to long.

Guess I will just bite the bullet and pay the price.

Oh'Boy:eek:

Now I have no choice then to stay at home to get the hunny-do list started:(

My wife is definitely going to be happy now:D In fact I might just get lucky:p

$1. 65 here in Cary, NC

Could be worse... . $5. like in Germany

Italy

wcaldwell,

Those prices in Italy are still the same. I was in Vicenza from 96-99, and without those coupons I would never be able to drive my FIAT "Cinque cento". It average around $4. 50 for a gallon if I paid in cash. Germany was the same way, but you needed different ration coupons.

I fueled up last Friday for $1. 41 here in New Jersey. Same station had diesel priced at $1. 63 today. Guess I'd better fuel up again before it reaches $2. 00

Between the gouging of the banks and the oil companies, we'll all be in the poorhouse before long.

Too late, my dad said he just saw $2. 00 last night. Pretty soon we're going to have to take out loans to feed our beasts.

I was doing the math last night, though, and gasoline is still more expensive PER MILE than diesel. My dad's '88 Chevy ex. cab. long box w/ the 5. 7 350 gets about 15-16 in the winter. Compared to my 18-19 w/ the Cummins, I'm actually paying less per mile than he is, even if our pump prices are higher. Sorry if this make any of you feel any better about high prices  , but I thought I'd just point it out for the sake of pointing it out, thats all. Just my $. 02

price gouging

I just filled up for $1. 63/gal here in Middle GA.

Seems to me that lots of folks are capitalizing on the FEAR that some people have about us going to war and Saddam doing something dumb like lighting up his oil wells again.

Funny how our environazi groups are so LOUDLY against Bush, yet they are mysteriously SILENT when it comes to Saddam, whose environmental record is TERRIBLE.

Makes you wonder if the enviro is their real concern.
