Why has diesel been so high priced lately? I hate to turn this into a political statement, but it's becasue we're at war. I recall hearing a month or so ago about the attacks on American supply convoys overseas... the soldiers were going on strike because they were sick of waiting for their time to die... it was reported that among other items, they were moving 1 million (1,000,000,000) gallons of diesel fuel EVERY DAY over there. Let's think, what do all the military vehicles run on? Diesel. What does America run on? Diesel, well, if we want our store shelves stocked, we rely on diesel. We have conflicting interests here, we complain about how high fuel prices are, but we also complain that we have terrorists attacking us. Something's wrong here.
Okay, I'll relinquish my soapbox now... :-{}
Back to topic of this thread, I paid $2. 19 at home this past weekend, but here in NY, it's still $2. 35-$2. 39. I actually broke into the hundreds for the first time filling up Sunday night, at $2. 19/gal. , $114. 25 for 52 gallons, ugh :{
