12v satelite TV system

does anyone know why there isn't a 12volt satelite TV system available?

I know I can use an inverter etc. , but why not a 12v system. my 13" tv/vcr is ac/dc and I'd like to complement my viewing pleasure with eminations from the heavens when shore power is not handy.

I assume that the market is too small for 12 vdc sat receivers at this time. I suspect that if they did make one, it would use close to the same amount of 12v power as a small inverter running a 115 vac sat receiver. We also use the inverter to run the 'puter.
