Yes 344 HP but i have added 191 dvs and a 4 plate since the dyno so i am going to guess a conservative 360-375 HP is what i am at at this very moment still through a stock transmission. I will peg my gauge pretty quick 1600* i never hold it any longer than it takes me to get through the 1320 which is probably about the last 2-4 seconds and yea with a transmission like yours i dont think yoo have a need for a switch and your transmission vendor would probably not recomend it

I've seen it all run at grove creek, from rice rockets to a station wagon. i made 16 passes one night and only lost 2 :-laf Its only six cyclinders! I plan on building a drag truck sometime soon. a lil dakota with a HUGE single turbo. well you come racing, and i give your bro some crap about muncie. Where are my keys? :-laf

well after about 12+ hours of drinking its now 3-4 am and he's standing in front of a group of about 7 MN tdr guys. talking up his truck and such, FERD YA DA YA DA... ... . have you guys seen my keys? as we all go huh? how can you lose your keys? your bro said " well i set them down in the box of someones truck and they drove off. " someone from our group called him a idiot and started bashing ferd. he got mouthy saying he could take our trucks and then we reminded no he couldnt he didnt have keys :-laf ! so he shut up and we went back to drinking beer and ended up watching the sun come up over the Lee's inn. good times, good people, and of course good beer.

His truck did run pretty good, actually VERY good, until he got scared about HG problems and sold the major parts that contributed to the power. I wanted to buy his water-meth injection from him but apparently he had sold it already. It did run good though!



BTW, who was it that called him an idiot? :)
 
in all honesty, you can probably beat him now. Does his car have anything after market added? You can out produce him in hp and torque across the board, so that is not an issue, while you 6 second 0-60 is achievable, with some tuning. I currently run an 04. 5 with Edge attitude set at 4 and run 0-60 in 7. 0 and a quarter mile in 15. 7 at 91 mph... can do better when there is no snow on the ground.
 
well, this is just making my head reel..... If you are that worried, you are not fast enough yet!. I personally think you dont have anything to worry about Chances are that someone driving a pontiac (except a Daytona Prototype) is not a good enough driver to beat someone in a diesel anyway. We seem to be too focused on the performance aspects of our trucks, so not a whole lot gets past us. My 0-60 and quarter mile times are calculated in my Edge Attitude Box, I have laid down very consistent 0-60 times of 7. 0 and 7. 1 on winter roads with stock tires and a 4X2 3500 Quad Cab and my quarter Miles have been reigned in at 15. 7 @ 91 mph. If you want, give me your address and I will come up there and race him, and to heck with the rest of it... I DRIVE A DODGE!!!! BUILD IT BUY IT AND BRAG ABOUT IT!
 
Alright Tmass call this dude out and I'll come down and eat him up! if your worried about lossing. Remember im only 45 min away if i drive slow :rolleyes:. let me know at least let me take a shot at him to shut him up. or is this a personal thing?

This is a personal thing. Not a huge deal, just something that I want done and accomplished. The car is stock as far as I know, and the person has no real track experience, just highway.



The reason i'm continuing this thread is because my original question wasn't clearly answered. I would also like to know what it would take "part-wise" to whip *** on this car.



Also just heard tonight that we have a new car in town, a newer Suby' Imprezza WRX. Supposed to be fast as heck. Don't think I can take them on in this truck. Maybe my next? :D



Also to clarify about the driver of the GTP, it's a snotty, preppy, babied girl. No, I am not afraid of her. :) I posted that in my first post, but edited it out because I thought people would see that and not post on this. :)
 
well they dont get to snotty and babied without first being good looking... too bad Im in SE mn. Id gladly race a GTP from a roll :-laf, especially if the girl's got attitude.
 
Well trever i think you can take her... ... so just stop worring about it and do it. and if you lose oh well, there is always someone faster remember that. no pain no gain. say what are you up to thusday? i got a lot of free time and was wounderin if ya wanted to grab some chow?

Now I for sure can't take her without a wastegate or a new turbo after I blocked off my wastegate. What do you think, Hybrid turbo or a TurboMaster & Water-Meth Injection. Or, TurboMaster and another truck payment or savings towards a new truck?



I've got school until 12:00 M-F and I am off work until Friday afternoon. It's up to you. Not sure on ND yet. I might bail because am not sure it's worth it to haul up there and pay for lodging a couple nights, just to dyno for a half hour. Also I was hoping for a bigger turnout from MN. We'll see. Staying home would definately save some money that I could spend on the truck, or on a new pair of heads or a carb for the Chevelle. I know I could whip some *** in that only if it wasn't so cold-blooded and it had a license. :) That was a fun car back when I broke in the rebuilt 383 a few years back. Definately could pull the front end if it had the right suspension and some shorter gears.
 
Tmass im off school at 12 m-f. as far as the ND thing we just drive up for the day. you can ride with me if you want not a problem. As far as the mods go..... i have a Hybread turbo on dads truck there nice but $1400 for a 40/35 i dont think is worth it if your going to go twins. I got a hx 35 siting around if you need one that bad till you get yours fixed. give me call this afternoon at 763-443-5681.
