168 miles = dead G56 ****Updated Again****
Well I picked up the new truck yesterday afternoon. Today I got a check engine light so took it to the dealer, turned out to be bad fuel fill cap. When I got there I backed into a parking spot and the trans got stuck in reverse. Took both hands to get it out. Afterwards the shifter was so stiff I could barely move it back and forth in neutral. After driving around the lot a couple of times the shifter loosened back up to normal. Put it back in reverse and stuck again, this time forcing it out caused a grinding noise. Got the service writer to drive it, he did the same process I did except when he put it in reverse we couldn't get it out again. They don't know what's wrong but based on the grinding etc, he thinks that I may end up with a whole new transmission!! I'll post the result after they call me.
Is this really what I can expect from the G56?? I never had any problems from the NV5600 in my 04. Not a good way to start out a brand new truck :{
