Check the front end components - ball joints/control arm bushings etc - with a fine tooth comb. My buddy had to replace all the components on his '94 about 6 months ago.

I can't really put a price on the truck, but its just like mine except mine is a five speed. I bought mine new and its still like new at 80,000. Haven't had any front end trouble or anything else major. Its been a great truck and I would never part with it. At the very low miles on that truck, it would be worth a premium if its been taken care of.

The fellow selling the truck has a great story.

He had parked the truck at a friends location and was asking $16K. Got two offers a month ago at $15k and turned both down.

He relocated the truck to another friends yard and is asking $15K. My son offered $13,500 and he countered at $14,400.

My son passed on the truck. It needs a new set of tires. Tread looks good, but has definite belt separation. Other than being a little weak compared to my 2002, it is a great looking and driving truck.

Thanks everyone for your inputs.

I paid $7500 a year ago for my 94 2WD 3500 5-speed. I've put a couple of thousand into it (tires, ball joints, shocks, AC evaporator) and it's a great truck now. :)

Sounds good, almost too good. only 50K miles on a truck that's 8 years old? As we can all attest, I look for any excuse to drive my truck anywhere. If that mileage is true, the owner only drove 521 miles a month or 6,250 miles a year. Hey it could happen, but I'd be suspicious. Go over it with a fine toothed comb. If all seems to check out, I think the price is within reason.

I have a neighbor who has an older Ford PSD ('95) and he only has 38K on it. He ONLY drives it to pull his travel trailer:eek: (I also don't think he goes very far  )

price range

saw a 96 and very cherry for asking 14500 . This is one owner truck and I have seen it around here since it was new. owner hauled light loads of office furniture to his shop & painted them for resale so it's not like it was pulling weight all the time.

This is the kind of truck you see right after you buy a new one after you can;t find a good used one :{

There's a decent looking 94 std cab with a matching cap just up the road from me. It's red with a driftwood center band. I think theyre asking 10K. It's been for sale for at least a few months now. If I remember correctly, it has 175K miles on it.

If youre really interested in it, I can go look at it. It's just a few miles from me.

Eric

I think it's an auto trans.

My son has kind of put everything on hold for now.

Thanks for all the responses.

BTW - the truck has been babied and is very clean. My 2002 has more scratches and a big dent by a hit 'n run low life sorry... . don't let me get started. I don't doubt for one minute that it only has 50,000 miles.

It's dark red with the driftwood center stripe.
