ENafziger: That's sad to hear your wife got fired the first day back to work right after getting married and returning from the honeymoon. :{

That's some very rough roads up there in Alaska and a lot of bad luck to boot. Your '06 has been hurt pretty good. Especially after running over a black bear. Most cars are pretty much done after running over raccoons, deer, etc. #@$%!

Glad to hear your 1991. 5 is running good and providing for the young family. :)

HHhuntitall: thanks for refreshing my memory, now I know what a evil burr is as I've never heard of a sand burr but seen burrs here. The goat head, I'm not sure if I ever seen one of those tire spikes. Sure as hell won't be punching holes in my Toyos. :-laf

Speaking of Toyos, today I just noticed a slit all around the tire as if I spun them on something sharp. Goes down the depth of the tread (1/4") and slightly into the rubber. Still not flat yet. Very good. ;)

EF congrats on wedding a little one one the way. Someday you will be able to look back at this period of time and laugh.

I was gonna say a sand burr was a evil child of a cockle burr and barb wire but HHH did a real good job of explaining them.

All hail the king! The return of 1st gen leader, king Bschwarzli! He was busy slaying demons that kept him away from our forums. :-laf

Demons? As in 340 Demons? I'm in!! Where, when, and what time..... do they have childcare?!?! :-laf

Hmmm..... king Bschwarzli, where are you?... . He must be out there still.

HHhuntitall: lmao!:-laf not sure where the king is slaying demons, I'm sure when we see him, he'll tell us where to go and you can get your XL Surgeon Monster ready to go. :D Your rifle should be able to flatten 340 demon heads in couple minutes. :D

 ? I don't want to shoot any small block chrysler heads... . I just want to burn em up with methanol or NiOxide!!! Oh, wait!!!!!!... ... . the other demons are all yours!! I got enough of my own to fight with!!! :-laf And I've learned a . 338 doesn't do much good on those!! Cut the head off, and it grows back 3 fold!! Have to use HIGHER powers on those!!

But Bschwarzli must be after the 340 Demons, or he'd be back to talk to us by now, with pictures!!!!!

HHhuntitall: Yeah, don't want to shoot the chrysler heads. methanol and niOxide make for a powerful explosion. Maybe we should use ammonium mixed with diesel fuel. I heard they make quite the crater in the ground after the heads blow off. Don't need Hercules no more, Cummins has more strength and can kill the multi headed demon using the above mentioned ammonium and diesel fuel.

King Bschwarzli is probably defending his castle's retaining wall against the demons that are trying to knock it over to enter the premises.

HHhuntitall: I'm just having fun with Bschwarzli about his wall. :D I like to pull his leg and make his day feel better as he's been working many long hours at his job. I like to get him laughing like we've been doing on this thread which is working very well. :-laf

:-laf Which brings up... Where's he at? It's GOTTA be something important for him to not show up to defend himself!! Hopefully, he didn't have another mishap with his Torpedo guiadance system, and is stranded on the side of the road in WY, again!! Those tanks are getting hard to come by!!

Oh, I wonder if he got a lead on his AWOL body trim piece?!?!? I heard someone was using it for a boat oar on the Mississippi... ... :D He'll be in Arkansas before you know it!!!!

:GASP: I Hope he didn't accidentally take out his retaining wall with a torpedo while trying to re-zero it!!!?!?!?:--)

HHhuntitall::-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf!!!!!!

You think up so many funny things to say! I can't compete with you, I just bring out the best in you, :-laf:-laf:-laf!!

LMAO! at the guidance system, fuel tank.

LMAO! at using body trim as an oar.

LMAO! at the wall.

I can't wait til Bschwarzli returns to his favourite forum. Gonna be very interesting.

They're building a new machine at their work place, and Robert and several engineers have been working many 12 some hours everyday for the last several months.

I heard my name..... apparently several times! :-laf

Bschwarzli: Was that a weapon malfunction or a problem with the guidance system? I've had problems with my remote camera guided . 22 before..... You know you're supposed to test that on small foreign cars before putting it on the road, right? !!

Yes. Of course it was.....

LOL

Now that is funny!!! ... a little too much so because until 3 weeks ago, my pregnant wife and I and our year old daughter had been living in a camper full time. Kindof an unplanned thing I suppose. I bought the camper to use for a month and then sell. Well, we got married, took off in the camper on our honeymoon to Alaska... and then plans changed. My wife's first day back to work, and they told her she was fired, and we had two weeks to get out of the employee unit apartment building we were living in. Obviously we had no money at all, as we had just spent our life savings on the wedding and honeymoon. Needless to say, the camper became our home for an extra 14 months! Lots of good memories I suppose... The '06 Dodge we took to pull the camper has unfortunately got the raw end of the deal. We made it back from the trip with both lower ball joints sheared off. Having to drive like this completely wallered out the inner axles/ujoints. A month after getting back, the front driveshaft exploded, busting the electronic gizmo motor on the transfer case. And a week later, teeth fell off 4th and 6th gear on the G56 transmission. At some point, the AFE air box rubbed a hole through the a/c line and all the refrigerant expelled. The rough Alaskan roads shook my overhead gauges loose and they're dangling by the wires. The black bear we ran over ripped off the passenger mud flap and dented the running boards pretty good I had to cut $350 worth of Levi's turbo blankets off of the turbos and manifold etc on the side of the road in Kansas to check things out because I thought a blew a head gasket. The reed valve in the Air Zenith compressor broke off and dropped into the piston and ruined the cylinder head leaving us without an exhaust brake for the latter half of the trip. The traction bar on the passenger side came loose as the threads wallered out at some point. And I think the gauge cluster has shorted out, because now that I'm not driving it (for the above reasons), the new Optima yellow tops are pulled down dead in about 9 days. I did manage to pull it in the garage though to prevent any more rain water from accumulating in the rear under seat storage... I think there was enough water in there for a school of minnows and a decent sized crappie to swim around without bumping fins. Needless to say, out of money, newly wed and broke, wife without a job, a kid and another on the way, and trying to remodel a foreclosure house has left no money for the poor '06. It's been keeping the garage occupied for about 9 months now... hopefully for Christmas I'll get a new transmission

Man! Thats tough! Sorry to hear that! :(

I hope things get better!

All hail the king! The return of 1st gen leader, king Bschwarzli! He was busy slaying demons that kept him away from our forums. :-

Where is he!? All hail king robert! (Have I met him before???)

Demons? As in 340 Demons? I'm in!! Where, when, and what time..... do they have childcare?!?! f

No. No Demons here sadly! But I do have a 318 and 833 4 speed waiting for a home. And a 93 5. 9 Cummins. Oo.

I'm sure when we see him,

Likely easier for you to see me than HH... . Just sayin! :D

:? I don't want to shoot any small block chrysler heads... . I just want to burn em up with methanol or NiOxide!!! Oh, wait!!!!!!... ... . But Bschwarzli must be after the 340 Demons, or he'd be back to talk to us by now, with pictures!!!! !

Yes. Dont hurt any X heads! They are few and far between in good condition!

Not after a Demon at the moment, but word got to me of a possible crew cab for sale a few hours from me! :)

Yeah, what's the deal with the retaining wall? Several people have mentioned that... . he's pretty touchy about it?

Dad and I rebuilt a retaining wall 12 years ago. 3 years later it fell down.

We rebuilt it.

It fell down again a few years later.

We rebuilt it.

It fell down AGAIN!!

This summer we rebuilt it. This time with many yards of gravel, screening, backhoes, large steel I beams, and 4 weekends in a row. Was the job from you know where!

I am tired of that dang wall! #@$%!

Not touchy at all. :D

:-f Which brings up... Where's he at? It's GOTTA be something important for him to not show up to defend himself!! Hopefully, he didn't have another mishap with his Torpedo guiadance system, and is stranded on the side of the road in WY, again!! Those tanks are getting hard to come by!!

LOL. That was a bad day in WY... . LOL :-laf

:GASP: I Hope he didn't accidentally take out his retaining wall with a torpedo while trying to re-zero it!!!?!?!?

You bet! Somebody has a near perfect (I say near as I have a feeling it was not the same shape after it came out from under the trailer tires! :-laf) trim peice for their truck! #@$%!

Damn NY bumps! :-laf

Yes, as Shawn said, I have been working on a skunk works project at work putting upwards of 50-10 hour weeks for the last 2 months and as we are nearing completion, we have been more on the 100 hour side of things. Have not had much time for anything other than sleep and food. :(

Glad to see I was missed! ;)

You were missed. Unfortunately, you guys don't know enough about me, yet, to give me crap about my mis-adventures... . I gotta start taking more photos!! Sooo, that just leaves me to aggravate you guys... . not AS much fun, but fun, none the less!! Those kind of hours are not fun, nor good for the attitude!! I had some of those this Spring, and when we finally got some rain... ... in September ... ... I finally got a few days off. Sadly, they were spent catching up on paperwork for taxes and billing. Now the days are shorter, so I can play a little more.....

So, what's your excuse? You can't be THAT mad at the SuperCrew!?!? And skunk works?!? Oh, you shouldn't have said that... now I'm curious!! As Snagglepuss would say, "Do tell, do tellllllllla!! Details, detailllza!!!" :D

HHhuntitall: I'll try and come up with anything funny for your mis-adventures if you like, I just know Robert a lot more like you said, and don't want to have new friends getting hissy so soon. :-laf And I really like your sense of humour! You have Huge experience!:-laf

So with your permission, I'll go back through the threads, come up with something funny for you and we'll have a mud slinging jokes going back and forth and I'll get to learn more funnier things!:-laf

Well let's hope he's a better injun ear than mason. :D

BS this may have been the second best thread ever on TDR!

SRay I'm curious about your truck mods, what all do you have done? I've never had mine on the rollers but the two are somewhat comparable.

Oh it'll be easy. Just call him a tree huggin hippee. Outta stir it up a bit. Or tell him his neighbor has a bigger front bumper. ;)

Nyoest: ROFLMAO!!!:-laf:-laf:-laf

HHhuntitall: Your neighbour has a bigger bumper. :-laf

Nyoest: Stock 180hp p-pump, injectors, factory timing, factory cam, #100 style home ground fuel plate. blocked off wastegate (it was seizing anyway) and a small afc mod.

Also the dyno I used was a Hydraulic dyno that starts at top rpm like tractors with pto dynos, then adds load until truck comes down to 1,400 rpms in my case as the clutch started smoking like a prick from under the truck as well as plenty of black smoke that the hx35 couldn't clear up. This dyno is brutal on everything, similar to sled pulling rather than drag racing style dynos that has to rev up but stops adding load when there's no more load left once the cummins reached max rpm.

The end result was 283 hp / 942 tq. This was the best dyno I've ever been on. I've been on 5 different dynos already and all were comparable operation except the hydraulic dyno.
