We have already been assimilated by Borg (cummins and Tdr). We've become a collective of humans/machines (us and our trucks) and we communicate through Tdr space (Tdr forums). We travel around assimilating others to be part of us (Tdr events). We attack those that we perceive as a threat (powerstroke, duramax guys making fun of dodge/cummins), You want to have the white house try and shoot us down for darkening the planet with space soot?

And we have to go to bschwarzli's place and re-assimilate him as he's been damaged in his head.

Yeahhh, I don't buy it. If you were in my head, you'd run in circles until you fell over... ... it runs like a crankshaft in there..... doesn't really get anywhere, but... ... :-laf And it sounds like you've already lost the ASSimilation to the Cummins and didn't know it... ... ..... :D

You want to have the white house try and shoot us down for darkening the planet with space soot?

Uhhhhhh, you mean they already haven't started? I hate to see what it looks like when they TRY!!!!

And we have to go to bschwarzli's place and re-assimilate him as he's been damaged in his head.

Naaaaw, that glitch was inherited when you tried to ASSimilate him... . now you're all doomed, and will pick it up in time. It's like a virus; a deliberately cultivated Human genetic trait to want to press down with a right foot, brought on by the superior presence of Cummins. It can't be suppressed. Before long, you'll all be smiling when passing trucks and intergalactic freighters lacking the presence of Cummins.

The main problem with the buckstop bumper not selling is its name isn't ranch hand! Babies come out the womb in Texas crying ranch hand. I know I'm a grandfathered uncle in law to two of 'em. Seriously first words were ranch hand. Next ones were, "where's my dip?"

Borg. You guys are such dorks. Everyone knows jean Luke can kick their ace with one hand transformed into a blender! ;)

Wtf is that laying all over the ground in those pics? Please god don't tell me it's something edible going to waste?!

HHhuntitall: this is so much fun trying to think of funny things to say with everyone here!:-laf:-laf:-laf you're fun to joke with.

I can see in the photo of your truck that the bar is sort of blocking the turn signal lights. Still looks very nice though. I do like Road Armour bumpers as well like Scott vorhees' Big Bad Dodge has. Maybe you've heard of him and his modified 1997 dodge.

Have you been to the Cummins engine plant tour this past summer?

Bschwarzli: I see a lot of people are reading the first gen thread without a subject posts. Almost 1,200.

Nyoest: That's the ranch hand push bar on my truck from texas. I like it well, don't like the powder coat job though. Had to have it painted already after 1 year.

:-laf:-laf:-laf on Jean Luc with a blender.

Those hogs on the ground are going to Bschwarzli's place to be cooked. They've been tenderized by HHhuntitall's Dodge and trailer.

For me it's wipe the cow's *** and mouth and bring right to the table. Bscwarzli nearly puked at the cummins tour when we had dinner together with his dad.

What truck do you currently drive now?

Mmmmmm tender BBQ, where's that up bucking smily!?

Mine is a 96 4x4 5spd 4. 10s white and peeling
Wife's is 01 6 spd 4. 10s red

I hear ya on the steaks. It needs to be just barely moving yet for me.

I have two very good friends in Texas and I always give them a hard time about trying to see who can get a belt buckle bigger than their front bumper. Turns out you can't, they just get bigger front bumpers!

Boy, this thread is really getting derailed. What was the original question anywho?

Nyoest: Everything is always bigger in Texas.

I think a lot of bscwarzli's threads get derailed anyway:-laf:-laf

Original question was to talk about anything with 1st gen trucks hence the no subject. Then I the 2nd gen guy hyjacked the thread like a virus, polluting everything. :-laf

If you were me, you'd have to have a sense of humor, too. :-laf

I've heard the name of Vorhee, don't know if it's the same one. I remember things if I read them or see a photo. NOT so much if I hear it.....

Unfortunately, I didn't make the Cummins Tour..... :{#@$%! Too much farmland, cows, and pigs to run over... ... oh, and a wife and kids... . Next time, baby!!!

First Gen thread? Oh, yeah. Sorry, but I don't discriminate... ... ... much. I'm multi-talented. I can span three generations..... ;)

Ahhhh, peeling. Gives it character!!

Nothing like getting kicked, ran at, run over, and getting recycled grass slung all over you to make you want a good steak. Every bite seems like a small bite of revenge..... I do want mine cooked a good Med, though... . a little more pain from the pan!!:D

You suck!! I'm about to go finish sowing wheat, God willing.....

That's the Superior power of Cummins. They're all family, they don't want any discrimination seperating the brotherhood. Besides, all First Gen Cummins want a P-pump!!:D

Nyoest: how was deer hunting for you? My buddies haven't shot one deer all week.

HHhuntitall: I have several pics of vorhees' truck, just gotta upload them on computer. Everything else I do on my iPhone. iPhone can't post pics. I'm not computer savvy enough which is why I drive a p-pump truck. (everything is simple, no breakdowns)

I love my steak blue rare and get a good kick out of it watching bscwarzli's face go green.

You have tractors? I have a 1974 john Deere 2130.

No deer yet. The hang over has improved substantially though.

SRay I do everything from my phone. I don't have a pc or even land line. All you need is a photobucket account. They will give you an email address you can ship pics to. Resize them under 100 mb while your sending. Then attach the URL of your pic to your reply. It sounds hard but isn't if I figured it out.

Since we're talking about pics here's one right from the I phone:

HA!!! I'm computer savvy, and I STILL drive a P-pumped truck..... and one with a VE. And one with a VP. And one with a C3P0... . err... . I mean CP3. :-laf The old 12valves were the epiphany of diesel power, I think. Simple, yet powerful, and the 2nd gens threw in a good dose of comfort. If I absolutely have to get it moved, my first option is the Dirty Dodge, aka the '97 (or a D6 Cat Hightrack. If that won't do it, I'll have to mix up some high expansion rate movement material!! :D)

I'm always up for a pic of a nice truck. Is he here on the TDR? I could search for his pic.....

I've seen tooooo many liver flukes in feed-lot cattle and weird growth hormones to eat my steaks raw... . Kinda like chicken. If you've ever worked in a chicken farm, you'll never eat Tyson's again!! :pUKE:

I've got more tractors than I care for. I'd just got off my 876(with LTA10 Cummins!!) Versatile this morn when I came in for breakfast and got on here for a few. Then I climbed on the 7120 Case (with 8. 3L Cummins!!) and sowed some wheat until @ 2pm when Dad picked me up for lunch. He went back to relieve me, while I work on his '97 2500, which is getting a new bale spike bed, lights, tires, etc. I've got several Versatiles, across three generations from 1979 to 1998, like the 875 Versatile(with Cummins Big Cam), the 876 and 946(with Cummins Big Cam III), and the New Holland 9682(with a N14). The older Case's have the old Case 451 or 503 engine, a direct predecessor to the 8. 3L(504ci), and one New Holland TS100 with a 3. 9? Cummins clone, made in England, rear drive VE pump. I could go on, but you get the idea. We cover a lot of country, and need a few more hired hands, but I can't afford the good ones, and I can't afford to put the stupid ones on good equipment..... One of my best fencing hands just got a DUI, and ended up not being legal!! Now he'll spend 3 months in a border prison before being deported, so it'll be 4 months before he's back, and another month before he can get his green card... ... ... ... ... ..... ugh.

835 and 45ft Great Plains grain drill... .

HHH what part of Texas are you in? Do they grow any rice around you? My friends are at spring town, west of fort worth and port neches south of Beaumont.

Nice tractors! Don't see many versatiles around here. It's usually steigers or Deere.

I've got a couple of places. My largest farm is NW of Abilene about 50 miles, while my largest cattle operation is another 60 miles W. My machine shop is NE of Springtown, between Decatur and Gainesville..... I met a man from Port Neches, last week. Wayne... . can't remember the last name..... he works for Conoco/Philips. I've got a friend that lives at Katy, Tx, and another at Galveston.....

HHhuntitall: Wow! you're a busy person. Sucks that your best fencer is getting the boot. How's life as a rancher? I like those tractors. There are some Versatiles around here but mostly CaseIH and John Deere.

Have you ever heard of Big Bud 747 v16 2 stroke detroit powered tractor? That tractor should be able to get your land done quickly with 1,000 hp under that hood and 130,000 lbs operating weight. Just have to have a fuel truck drive out and fill it up since the fuel tank holds 1,000 gallons of no. 2.

Here's Scott Vorhees' Big Bad dodge

Nyoest: Here's a pic of my 1997 with new stickers added. Twin 6" black stacks will be going up soon I hope. Too much work at the moment.

What farmer hasn't heard of it?!?! We all dream of the day we have to install new gates to get the equipment in!! 80ft Frigstadt plow, 1ac a minute!! The Williams Brothers in Big Sandy, MT own it now. I've never gotten up to see it. I met them at the National Farm Toy show in Iowa a few back. They were trying to promote their toys they liscenced to Ertl. A Farm Toys Dealer I've been too busy and had to let some of my hobbies go, one of which was hand making 1/64 scale toys in college..... great winter project, and kept me busy; even making a few $!!

Ranching is in dire straights at the moment. Only the strong will survive. This drought has every non-essential heavy grazer sold and processed. A few got a break recently, as we've gotten wheat in the ground and hope to graze it through the winter, God willing and a good rain!! We got a good check for all the cotton we planted this summer, as it insured out in 15 days or less. We had a check in hand for over 2000ac of cotton by the end of the month. We went and traded in the JD4955 and got an 8130 with Greenstar GPS on it for chemical application and row planting. My partners went and bought some more land and picked up another 8-9000ac of lease land, 2500 of it farmland. Guess they're gonna be getting some cows, soon!!

The beautiful thing about a Versatile is you can get all the drivetrain parts at a truck supply house! You don't have to go to the dealer. I had to order a hydraulic line for the 7120 from Case, and it took three days to get it here!! Stupid parts guys at Greenville lost my order, and had to deliver it the next day!! You can rob parts off an old truck to keep your Versatile running. Changing a clutch requires just unbolting a driveshaft and a cover, where on the Stieger and JD you have to pull the cab to get to the transmission to pull it!!! NOT owner friendly!!!

Uhhhh, ok. Do ya think ee's compensating for somethin'?!?! :D

Do you work for Case? Where do you get those? You seem to like the decals... . I like the front assist sticker on the back!! HA!!! Stacks?!?! Oh, jeesh!! Another compensator!!! :p

You do any farming?

Ha ha ha! Wow you know everything about big bud. Too bad they didn't make anymore.

No I don't work for case. An idea came to my head when I saw the stickers at a case dealer when I was getting my case oil filter for my goat. I though if cummins and CaseIH joined to make those 5. 9l cummins for tractors which then got installed in our trucks in the late 1980's. So engine is part CaseIh and I use caseih oil filters. So I installed the stickers and got lots of compliments for them and my truck is now totally unique from everyone else.

I don't own a farm but I work on 3 of them after my day job. All three have John deeres. It's a lot of fun but I can tell if farmers are having a hard time as well like the BSE crisis. Many farmers lost money and today's economy is not helping.

Hey, Thanks BSchwarzli!! I may take you up on that someday!! If there are any Borg, they'll be wrapped around a driveshaft, full of holes, and well ground, so no worries! :-laf

Deal!

Dear Borg,

I dare you to ASSimilate me. I don't think you can. You're too scared. You and your cowardly kind wouldn't stand a chance. If you think otherwise, feel free to drop by and try. I can be found here:

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW

Washington, DC 20500

It's the white house with the big lawn, you can't miss it.

Eat Politics and die!!

Sincerely,

Me

:-laf

Borg. You guys are such dorks. Everyone knows jean Luke can kick their ace with one hand transformed into a blender!

Yeah baby!

Janeway doesn't do half bad either!

Please god don't tell me it's something edible going to waste?!

AAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :-laf

Bschwarzli: I see a lot of people are reading the first gen thread without a subject posts. Almost 1,200.

Thats cuz its more action in the first gen section that it has seen in years!

I think a lot of bscwarzli's threads get derailed anyway

:-laf So true! I have even hi-jacked (lo - jacked??) my own! :D

Original question was to talk about anything with 1st gen trucks hence the no subject. Then I the 2nd gen guy hyjacked the thread like a virus, polluting everything. :-laf

And this is a surprise? :-laf

HH - Dang! How many farms do you have!? You must put on a poop load of mileage in a year!

Deer hunting update: wife got a nice 8 pointer Sunday. And then a good doe tonight in about 15 minutes of being in the stand. Oh well at least I get help clean them!

Here's the buck getting the spa before the european mount.

SRay were you able to figure the pic attachment from the phone?

Deal! They got a smoker at the Cummins plant? Errr, I mean one we can cook on?

HH - Dang! How many farms do you have!? You must put on a poop load of mileage in a year!

Uhhhh, I'm not sure some days... . mileage is not too bad. I usually only put about 20-25k on the '97... ... and the '03... ... . and about 3-5k on the '93... ... ... and 5-15k on the KW... ..... and another 5-15k on various other projects I've half-way got legal to run around on the road in..... mileage all depends on where I'm at, what's closest, what's broke on it, and how many flats are on it. :-laf Sometimes I drive whatever I come to that will start first... ... . Truth be told, I've sold more this year than I ever have... . I've got so much farmland, now, I can't keep up with all of it. My hired hands are part-times, and since Peterbilt started hiring, I haven't seen much of them!!

I sold the '91, '95 5/8's ton gasser, 2 '92s, a '90, '95 gasser 4x4, '97 Super clean 3500 2x4, '04 3500 4x4 Quadcab, my trusty '96, and a '93. Most were just project trucks I bought super cheap to fix up and either play in or resale.

I bought the '91 3/4 Intercooled 4x4 for $3500, did a little work, fixed several oil leaks, some newer tires/wheels, and sold it for $4500+some lumber, pipe, and a programmer for an '03.

The '95 1/2 ton 4x4gasser's transmission was toast, so I found one in a wrecked truck for $200, put a lift on it, and started bashing on it for less then $2500, not counting tires. I ended up with a blown up truck, trashed cab, and I robbed the axles to go under the 1/2 ton, put a bigger lift, some 38's and lockers in it, and just sold it for $5000 + a '95 Gasser 3/4 4x4 cancered out, which I sold for $1500, + a '79 Chevy SB 4x4 with a BUILT 350, lift, 35s, and lots of cancer!! :-laf It has no brakes, which I found out as I unloaded it!! Cost me a battery charger!!

One '92 was a D350 ext-cab, clean, just needed a fuel and power steering leak fixed. Gave $2500, sold for $3500. Other '92 was a drunk's truck, I guess. Mashed pass door, driver door welded up several times and broke again, but had a new transmission. Gave $1200 for drivetrain, ended up w/whole truck when the pump quit, but had to drag it on a trailer with a winch. I drove it off, put a steel flatbed on it, and sold it for $3500.

The '90 was just a clean truck, D250 3pd auto, a friend needed money for, $2500. I'd helped him fix a few things on it, but it was pretty solid like it was. He was second owner, and it got great mileage!! Lots of miles, but I could tell he hated to sell it, and I told him if he wanted it back, I'd keep it for 90 days. I called him a few weeks later when I got it sold for $3800 and split the profit w/ him. He bought me a case of beer, too!! That's a good friend!!

The '97 was a friend's I had bought a few back. It was super-clean, 2x4 3500, 113k miles. He'd just had the A/C fixed at the dealer!! Only nick in it was the busted lower portion of the Pass fender, where he ran over a shovel!! And I've never been stuck so many times in my life!!!! That truck would get stuck on concrete if it rained!! I once got stuck in front of my apartment early in the morning, and woke all the neighbors up trying to get it out of the stinkin' grass!!! AUUUUGGGH!! I kept it a few months, and was gonna sell it when I found the '97 I have, but Dad wanted it, so I told him he could drive it all he wanted, but he was responsible for it. He jerked the duals and found a matching 3/4 bed and made a nice cruiser. We only put 20k on it in 9yrs!! Seems Dad got stuck a lot, too!?!?! I sold it to a friend who wanted a nice clean truck for $7k, along with the cancered '95 for a work truck.

The '93 I didn't want to sell. I gave $1300, as the alternator didn't work, and when I got it home, I never shut it off, I just got a good used regulator I had and when I plugged it in, the alternator pulled the engine down and started whining a little!!! It needed a rear main and U-joint, I thought, but then I found the clinking noise was the nut off the back of the transmission yoke!! Couldn't fall out of the yoke, and was running 'round loose in there!! New seal, some loctite, and it was fixed. The Driver door was about to fall off, so I cut a reinforcement bracket for that and pulled the panel, greased the window motor, and the more I drove the truck, the more I wanted to keep it for myself, especially when I calculated the first tank at 22mpg!!! Then, as always, someone offered me some good money for it, and it was theirs.....

My '96 I've had since '99, w/89k miles. It was the only truck I had for a year or more. For a while, I hauled some RVs with it, all over the place, delivering. Then, I drove it back and forth, and had a beater on the ranches I drove off road..... it ended up being harder to keep those running than just one GOOD 4x4. And they never were up to the task. I'd be somewhere, and need my other truck. What a pain. But I just kept the '96 to drive when I went long trips or needed mileage..... and power. :D The local boys knew when I'd been out in it, as they'd get complaints about a smokin' white truck, flyin' through traffic..... I never dyno'd her, but she'd build 55+lbs boost. Never had a Chevy or Ford even stay close. I sold it to one of my partners on some of the farming ops, and took all my crap off, like the HX40hybrid, marine injectors, BD intercooler and boots, custom aneroid valve, etc. We put a steel bed on it, and I took the '92 Drunk's truck back on trade, as I need the parts to finish my '85 CTD Crew SB.

The last one was an '04 4x4 3500 Quadcab I'd bought for $6k. I'd been servicing the truck the last 100+k, so it was pretty well taken care of, but it was missing on one for 25k. He ran it for a long time with a bad injector, and it washed the piston in #6. He couldn't afford $400, and it cost him. I was gonna fix it myself for a ranch truck, but one of my hands talked me out of it for $9k, and I didn't have to touch it. He piece-mealed it together and traded it in. He got $19,500 trade in on it, so he came out pretty good. He ended up with a lower mileage '08 6. 7 2500 4x4 Mega for less then $16k. Not bad.....

Uhh, wow! ^^^ Didn't realize I typed that much..... guess I like my trucks!!! :-laf I'll quit for now..... sorry...
