P 0216 Fuel Inj pump timing failure



Sounds expensive. Any idea what I'm looking at guys?

You have a new injection pump (VP-44) in your future.

1693 means that there is at least one other code in the computer.
0216 means the VP44 is not able to achieve full timing advance.

You're missing some codes. If you cycle the key to get the codes in the odometer then you'll get two sets of codes -- one from the ECM and one from the PCM. You should wait for two Pdone messages.
