Read the latest TDR and saw the issue with the balancer. Mine is definitely bulging out so I was wondering if anyone recommends a replacement source. Didn't look to difficult to get off as long as I don't have to use a puller. Anyone offer a little advice?

I traded my crankshaft dampner out for the Fluidampr. You don't need a puller, because it is held on by 4 bolts. Removing the bolts, while holding the dampner still is a trick. Same thing when trying to torque the 4 bolts going back together.

The Fluidampr seemed to tame the clutch noise on my truck & hopefully the benefits of the Fluidampr make help the longevity of the engine.

I got my Fluidamper thru Summitt about 3 years ago since mine was walking and it really helped smooth things out nicely. I recommend it. As far as torquing the bolts / keeping the crank from turning . . . you have an auto trans so take the 3 screws that hold the converter inspection plate off and chuck a pair of vice grips on the flex plate hand turn the engine until the vice grips contact the bell-housing and you should be good to go. Crude but it works.
