My truck is due into Annapolis Junction on the 25th and scheduled for delivery to the dealer later that day. #ad


I am paying a Cummins/Dodge Senior Tech $150 to inspect this truck Sat or Monday evening after the dealer PDI is performed.

I am convinced this is the insurance premium I will have to pay to insure I get a good truck.

Some poor sole decided to end it all (may they rest in peace now) and the train was delayed when they were hit. My truck now is scheduled for delivery to dealer Mon.

Well, the wait's over! Picked up the truck this morning, 43 days after ordering. What a long wait, but definately worth it!! We took a nice <well awaited> cruise around rural CT, this morning. Found no wandering, no pull to the right, and it stops straight. (4 wheel disc's, of course) Third gear is a little hard to find, but no big deal. This truck is everything I expected it to be, paint is perfect, power is awesome! Well, time to change my sig. Good luck to all who still await!

Congratulations Fab! I've had mine for a little over 2 weeks and couldn't be happier. I filled it up for the first time yesterday and it took 30. 84 gallons. I have 545 miles calculating out to 17. 67 mpg on the first tank. That's mostly city driving and I've also had my foot in it feeling that HO 6 spd power and torque. I havn't made any mods yet, but I'm looking. I think I will start with the DD stage II's, boost module, and guages. Then maybe a 4" exhaust and a Physcotty II. I haven't decided if I will use a box or not. I'm currently pleased with the power and am only looking for a little more, but it appears that once you start Bombing, there's no turning back.

I feel for you folks that are still waiting. I hope those days are short. If your truck is like mine, you will not be disappointed #ad

I feel for you Guys. .

I would make your dealers do a search of all dealers to make sure there is not a truck sitting on some dodge lot some where matching what you want. .

The reason I say this is because I went to Bell Rd AutoNation Dodge in Phx AZ with my fathers gas powered ram for service, looked on the lot while I was waiting and saw my Dream Truck 2001 Sport 2500 4X4 6 spd ETH 3. 54 LSD FULLY LOADED every thing But Cowhide. Exactly what I wanted but knew it was a couple of years out of my budget! Went back 2 weeks later just to look and it was still there. . Talked to a great salesman MIKE MILLER(honestly they do exist) and after some creative financing left driving the best vehicle ever made #ad


It had been test driven several times but I guess the other buyers didn't like the truck transmission feel the 6 speed has when new -- shifts stiff and the pattern takes a while to get used to...

I've had my new love now for three months and 15000 miles -- shifting smoother, easier every day and the HO Cummins just keeps getting stronger #ad


So I didn't have to wait for mine (other than dreaming about owning a cummins dodge since 89) but I do understand your frustration.

If any of you are in my neiborhood ARIZ-MEXICO Border stop by and you can take her around the block for a Quick Fix. #ad

Dealer says 10-12 weeks, I hope that is all since I'm hearing about the transmission shortages. #ad
I guess patience is a virtue, but I can't wait to start Bombing. #ad

Alright guys tomorrow is the big day for me. I'll be picking up my new truck and wanted to know from all of you guys who had this experience to advise me of how to check the truck for the common problems you've noticed and what to look for. Thank you in advance for any input.

Thought I should let you guys know that I picked mine up last Tuesday -- quite happy so far, but I will post some impressions here after I get a chance to look it over some more and take the time to put my thoughts in order.

Took Delivery of my new truck yesterday evening !!!!!!!!!!!

It's not an ETH/DEE #ad
, had to order the ETC/DGB so the wife could help out on the long drives.

LWB QC 4x4 Bright Silver Metallic/Gray Mist, everything but leather. Bright Silver Metallic looks great.

August 1st Ordered Truck

August 2nd Received VON

August 3rd Received VIN

August 7th D1

August 15th Build Date

August 16th KZ

August 17th Loaded on truck headed for rail yard.

August 18th Loaded on rail car.

August 25th Arrived at my local rail yard (Jessup, MD)

August 26th Unloaded from rail car. Very long weekend. I could see my truck sitting in the distribution lot. Stopped by several times to look at it.

August 27th Stopped by to visit the truck.

August 28th Accompanied Sales Manager to retrieve my truck directly from the distribution facility. We were told there would be a two day wait to load the truck onto a semi and transport to dealer. Couldn't wait that long.

I drove the truck to the dealer, did the paper work, drove the truck home.

27 days from order to delivery, I'm impressed.

150 miles so far, lovin every minute of it.

My order just went in today. 8/29/00. Still need to sell my 97. This is what it will cost. Silver 4x2 3500 Quad cab SLT ETH/DEE 3. 55LSD tow grp fog lights -1000, -500, -100 = $ 28,347 plus TTL. I am pretty happy with it being under 30,000. PS. The xtra $100 is from Dodge to my girl Susann. This is where the wait begins. OUT

D/C Customer Service told me the DEE portion of my truck equation is still on restriction for the week of 10/01.

I went and had the inspection done. The bottom of the doors recieved very little or no paint at the factory, the door repair has to be completed by competent paint shop, and the entire truck has to be despotted from them buffing it with compond and not cleaning the compound off. They left the right side door open when they buffed it at the factory also, and the compound spots are all over the inside. NICE JOB DC.

I will take delivery of it tomorrow with DC paying for the repainting, deducting it from the price, and allowing 2 days for a rental vechicle. The shop will install all the optional equiptment and I will get the truck Fri.

I owned a paintless dent repair company for over 8 years. I spent many, many days at different Dodge dealers looking at new off-the-truck vehicles, inspecting for damage. In my experience, (with a highly trained eye), the Mexican vehicles are FAR, FAR superior to the American-assemble ones. If, over the years, Chrysler has gotten a bad rep. , they need to chain the doors on the Michigan plant, and the St. Louis plant isnt far behind! I base my opinion on fit/finish of both body panels, interior trim, dash assembly, drivability returns for wind noise, leaks, paint problems, etc. I toured the Fenton plant while attending the St. Louis rally... . the facility is lovely. I can only blame the American work ethic.
I guess my point is, if you gentlemen are shelling out the same money as a BMW or Mercedes, shouldn't you receive a product that is of the same quality? Please inspect your new truck thoroughly, and speak up if it's not PERFECT. DC wants to be world-class... they are FAR from it!
