Well, I posted the above before I read all the posts in this thread... seems D1 is a relative term. Does anyone still have the explanation for all the codes (ie: D1, etc... ), I searched the forums to no avail...

Unfortunately the old thread on the 2001 Waiting Club seems to have disappeared from the site. It also provided some very interesting information on the order process.

I know we said we wouldn't move previous threads into the new topical categories but since this one is pretty active I think it's confusing newbies on what 's in this forum so I'm going to move it anyway, that and I like being a (*$#(@. This is the second time waiting for me on new truck (I'm in the 3 bought back club). Interesting thing I have been told DC will not leave Cummins and that they have a 300HP engine epa approved already for the 2002. #ad

Latest From DC: NO oreders will be accepted for 3500s until late JUN (probably after Jul 4) production to restart JUL 26. I'm looking at SEP for delivery now.
This information is from the replacement people from DC and DC directly. They also told me disk brakes all around and the new style wide mirrors.
No new trucks this summer guys.

Were they specifically 1-tons? I believe that is a separate line from the 3/4 tons.

Sorry to hear about the bad news with lack of order acceptance. I called today and was told by the dealer that my truck was completed on the 2nd and is waiting for a rail car. DC 800 number verified this and also gave me my VIN. Should be here in a couple of weeks.

Finally... I. have it, picked it up last night went for a drive put it to bed with 205 miles on it. of course I love it. Ordered on March 23, this is built the way I wanted it. 99 bought off the lot. The 6 speed is great tight shift pattern compared to the 5 speed. No problems with the 2-3 shift. Now to finish the building I have the espar heater, hi idle control cable, E-brake waiting to install. Now to orders in for many other items. Hope you guys enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Dealer called me up this morning and said a truck just showed up and it had my name on it. Kind of blew him away when I told him I would pick it up next weekend and no hurry on the prep. Still thinking of having linex sprayed on the lower third of each side like the two tone paint on other trucks since mine is straight driftwood. That would make it driftwood and black. Has anyone tried this?

unless you do alot of off road driving I would not Line-X the rocker panels. I would give it less than a year and it will look like crap compared to the rest of your truck.

Take the $600. 00 and buy some other toys.

I ordered my 2500 ETH 6 speed on 5/25. Called DC last week and was told that the order passed the audit and is waiting scheduling. The only bad news was that Harvie is correct and DC will not be building anymore until around the begining of Augest. Looks like we will miss the rebate.
Did anyone give you a reason why your 6/2 order was cancelled?
