Well, I called DC this morning and they are telling me that my truck is scheduled to be built the last week of April, but they also say that it is still scheduled to be shipped on the 17th of April. I thought I had ordered the already assembled model? If they ship before assembly, is this the truck kit model and do I have to assemble it myself? #ad

Checked with DC today. Order was placed 3/13, went D1 3/23. Original ship date was 4/7. Now the build date is "third week in April". We'll see.

I'll do my part to get over that 316 post barrier. You guys got more faith in the 1-800 clowns than me. I've decided to write them off. They don't know dick (or should that be richard). I've been D1 since 3/23. You know that stage that your truck goes into when it's SUPPOSED to be assembled sometime in a 12 day span. I called them today for the last time and Monique told me that their most recent update was 3/23. All they manage to do is to push my estimated ship date farther away. 1st ship date was 3/16, 4/5, 4/11, now it's up to 5/5. On the other hand, my dealer told me that it has been built already and is being shipped. Dealer said truck was on their manifest sheet. This sheet tells them what is being shipped so they can make room on their lot ahead of time. Said that I should see it sometime next week. I so much want to believe that. I just can't find any sign of it on any tracking web sites.

I received the call thursday that it was in! Unfortunatley, I was in Oregon. Got home 4am today, went to dealer this morning to check her out. Took a short test drive, now I just have to wait 'till Monday for the bank to be open. So I should be able to take delivery monday. Can't wait!
BTW-ordered 2-25, arrived dealer lot 4-13. Not too bad all things considered.

I orderd mine on 3-29-00 and the dealer tells me it's in D1 status with an estimated ship date of 4-28-00? I would like to hope this is right on schedule but I'll have to wait and see.

The wait keeps growing longer. My order was placed 3/13; went D1 3/23. The original ship date was 4/7, then it went to 4/21. I checked with DC 800 number today: the ship date is now 5/10. Is the information from the 800 customer service center reliable, or are there better sources? Thanks for your help.

Several people at DC told me mine was D-1 since 3/22 with a ship date of 4/10. On 4/5, they said it just went to D-1 with a ship date of 4/27 but a build date in the 2nd week of April. As of today, still D-1 with estimated 4/27 ship date, and still an est build date during 2nd week of April. On monday a girl told me to call back on thursday-that the ETH should have a F or later staus. Some people at DC seem to understand the system and others should be wearing paper hats.

Called DC this afternoon. Yesterday was suppossed to be my ship date (as they have been telling me for 3 weeks) Figured they'd tell me still in D1 and change the build/ship dates. #ad

Scrambled to look that up to discover it's trim (whatever that includes). Rep. said it should complete the assembly line in a few hours and find its way to a truck (St. Screw Loose to Tennessee) and should arrive 12 days later. Boy am I excited #ad

I truly hope all of this is for real. Ordered 3/24, D1 on 3/29, off the line on 4/18, delivered 4/30 (woopse, my wedding anniversary). Maybe with the new truck and excitement she won't notice. Yea, right!

I am calling DC tomorra and getting the railcar number. The truck left the Saltillo plant on the 14th, and should be on a railcar by now. I am probably about 12 days from an ETH now! #ad

My dealer called just now and told me my truck is "I" status, which means it is being built. Sounds promising! I can almost hear that diesel already! Soon I should be able to start tracking it.

I assume you must have got some special treatment on your replacement order. I ordered my truck the same day as your replacement truck, as yet, not even assigned a build date. I think I will be lucky to see it by mid May. Happy waiting.
