Can anyone tell me what the torque spec is for the disc brake backing plate to the axle? The backing plate includes the parking brake assembly. This is for a 2002 Dana 80 out of a 4wd 2500. I have put this axle into my 1995 for the disc brakes. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Mirchell On Demand Torque Spec.

Before I posted the first thread I looked it up on Mitchell on Demand. The only spec I could find was for the "support plate mounting bolts/nuts" and it was listed as 43 ft. lbs. This spec. does seem like very much for these bolts that are 14mm in diameter. I'm not even sure that what they list as the "support plate mounting bolts" is the same as the backing plate for the disc brake assembly.

In the 2001 Service Manual I found an entry under the brake torque specifications which says:

"Support Plate Mounting Bolts - 43 ft/lbs"

That should be it because I can't think of any other "surface plate" in the service brakes or parking brake.
