Fellow Rammers,

I am in the final stages of installing my Grovers today an need to know the color code and gauge if possible of the horn supply wire that runs under the radiator over to the horns. This is where I'll be tapping into for the solenoid. TIA;)

Looking in my 2001 FSM supplement it shows an 18 ga. dark green with red tracer wire. Is this correct:confused: I hate to just be taking a shot in the dark here. Any ideas?????

Phil

Yep, that's the one. You are gonna love 'em, now go out there, tap that wire and wake up those neighbors  .

Best part is when you hit the panic button if you have keyless entry  :--)

Thank's Scott,

I will try that wire this morning. I wasn't sure whether the wire colors had changed at all from 2001 years. This is all I've got left to do,should only take a half hour or so. I am curious to hear the difference between these and the Hadley Bullys I had on my 2001.

I had thought about the keyless entry feature. I will probably disable the horns for this, I'm not sure yet,But It could be a nuisance:eek:

Thanks a bunch!

Phil, I received your PM and I am glad that they are working well. Personally, I like the panic button trick alot. Whenever someone asks to hear the Grovers and I am away from the truck, I hit that little red button on the remote, good for a few laughs  .

My OEM horns are going into my daughters barbie jeeps, that's where they belong IMHO, but then again, I'm a very sick man ;) .

No more toot,toot!

Yeah! That's about how the factory horns sound :D They'll never be used on my truck again! These Grovers are the best yet!The wifey says that it is a bit overkill:rolleyes: Oh well.
