It's hard to go wrong with something Geno's sells. They'll stand behind their product. I've never had a bad experience there. I get most of my belts and pulleys there for my personal trucks, if I can.

The 1A Auto mirrors have proven to be good to me. I've installed several dozen sets on customer's trucks, and I've had two that were a little wavy in the glass section. One I sent back, no problems. The other I swapped the customer out of just to get him taken care of, as it went unnoticed when installed, then I needed one, and it currently resides on my '03 (I hate mesquite trees..... )

So a lil update here, I finally bought the power mirrors from Genos that are Kool Vue brand. one thing that i noticed is that the mirrors do shake pretty bad when driving. :( The mirror itself shakes and i noticed that the pivot is more lose than the stock manuel tow mirrors that i took off. Also the passenger side mirror doesnt quite adjust in as far as i would like but i can live with that. My main issues is that they shake. Ive only heard of one if im not mistaking about them shaking and according to them wasnt that bad. Does any 1 having any solutions. Also is there a way to tightenen the pivot. I know there is a plastic cap on the underside but i havent removed it to check it out.

thanks

Asa

You installed the support brackets in the door correct?

No experience with the brand you purchased but the ones I bought from AM AutoParts have little shake at freeway speeds. I can easily see my chains in both mirrors without going cross eyed...:D

Ya JR I did install the support brackets that came with it. in relation to you cross eyed comment, I could probably go cross eyed. lol :p

That's odd. I've had great feedback and experience with the Kool Vue brand. I've had some odd Chinky brands that were known to shake some or have a "fish-eye" around the outside, but never that brand. Is it in both mirrors?

There is a spring retained by a pressed on clip under a ridge giving the tension on the pivot points. There's no way to adjust them without taking them apart with a press tool, after removing all the plastic covers. Not easy, and usually ends up in broken plastic. Prior to them being made power for the '01-02 Dodges, I was taking power mirrors off '03+ trucks and mounting them on the '02 bases to get power mirrors for the '95-02 trucks. I broke several of the covers before they came out with the power mirrors for the older trucks.

I don't know where my mirrors came from but I can tell you they are junk shake terrible the only solution I've found to help at all was to wrap the breakaway section of the mirror arm with electrical tape yes it's cute but I can sorta see out of them at least now . I was planning on getting the genos mirrors now I don't know .
