2004, 2500, keyless entry does not work

keyless entry does not work, unless the key is "on". replaced batteries in key fob no help. no codes showing.

no, it came with the truck, 2004. never had any problems in the past.

Probably a fuse, maybe the IOD? bg

I have done some further investigation, and found that the door locks do work both with the driver side door switch, and the keyfob, when the key is on. I think this rules out the keyfob, and the receiver. I am afraid it is the instrument cluster. Any ideas appreciated!

That system has to be powered up when all else is off. You are powering it up when you turn the ign. on, is it possible that a fuse is bad? There is a fuse called IOD, (ignition off drain). Just a thought. bg
