My neighbors truck has a no run condition with P0069. It will crank but will not start. I've load check each battery, disconnected the FCA, and all fuse are good.

I don't think the P0069 could cause a no start issue. Any ideas would be appreciated

MAP sensor . Located on the tube of the airbox going down to the turbo. It has 2 wires going to it

Not really. It is P0069-BOOST KEY ON RATIONALITY

For a complete wiring diagram Refer to the Wiring Information.

When Monitored:
While the key is on.

Set Condition:
The boost pressure recorded at key on is not within a calibrated range from the inlet air pressure sensor.

Possible Causes
OTHER DTC'S PRESENT
INLET AIR PRESSURE SENSOR
BOOST PRESSURE SENSOR
INTERMITTENT CONDITION

Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Engine Control (ECM) - Standard Procedure)

1. OTHER DTC'S PRESENT

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Are any DTC's present for Inlet air pressure or boost pressure?

Yes

Repair other DTC's first.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1 (DIESEL). (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Engine Control (ECM) - Standard Procedure)

No

Go To 2

2. COMPARE THE INLET AIR PRESSURE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Using the scan tool, compare the inlet air pressure (barometric pressure) sensor reading to the boost pressure sensor reading.

Are the pressure readings within 6 in hg of each other?

Yes

Go To 5

No

Go To 3

3. INLET AIR PRESSURE SENSOR

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Turn the ignition on, engine off.
2. Using the scan tool, read the inlet air pressure sensor value.

Is the inlet air pressure sensor reading consistent with the barometric pressure for the geographic region?

Yes

Go To 4

No

Relace the inlet air pressure sensor.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1 (DIESEL). (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Engine Control (ECM) - Standard Procedure)

4. BOOST PRESSURE SENSOR

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Using the scan tool, read the boost pressure sensor value.

Is the Boost pressure sensor reading consistent with the barometric pressure for the geographic region?

Yes

Go To 5

No

Relace the Boost pressure sensor.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1 (DIESEL). (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Engine Control (ECM) - Standard Procedure)

5. INTERMITTENT CONDITION

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. The conditions necessary to set this DTC are not present at this time.
2. Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors specific to this circuit.
3. Wiggle the wiring and connectors while checking for any possible open or shorted circuits.
4. Check for any Service Information Tune-ups or Technical Service Bulletins that may apply.

Were there any problems found?

Yes

Repair as necessary.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1 (DIESEL). (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Engine Control (ECM) - Standard Procedure)

No

Test Complete.

Bob, don't you just love the job security these complicated systems give you? :-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf
