I took my truck to Kwik for oil/filter and whatever else it needed. I thought I was due for the differentials also. As we started looking it over the front and rear pinion seals are leaking. The front one was a tad wet last time, but not a big deal. The rear one has been dry. After closer inspect the left rear axle seal has failed - oil on the back of my new tires.

I took it to the dealer today and they are working away on it. I am sure glad I got the maximum extended warranty. Looks like new front and rear pinion seals, new rear axles seals, new tie rods, front brake job (they said the front rotors are heat cracked - going to look at them in the AM). I am going to have them service the transmission while they have it. $100 deduct, I believe my warranty might have just paid for itself...

It has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. I tow with it a lot, so I guess I can't complain.

D.

hope they dont pull this on you but my DC service contract carries $100 deductible per REPAIR, not VISIT. So my broken seat, broken AC and leaking steering pump means I pay $300 in deductibles even though I schedule them all for same visit. If I want them to replace the $70 psyco turn signal switch, that'll be another $100...

So far my 05 3500 hasn't been in the shop. Knock on wood. I too have the extended warranty. I believe mine says $100 deductible per visit.

Might want to find another dealer... always has been per visit, not each individual repair.

Sounds like your funding your dealerships holiday party, Sounds like they are scamming you. My dealership fixed 8 things on my old rig with only one payment of the $100 deductible.

Yup... better find another dealer... mine charges $100 per visit... no matter if they fix one item or more. And if they need me to come back because they don't have the parts, its NOT another $100 either... :-laf

At least yours went 78K. I replaced both pinion seals at 60k. I also had a bad rear U-joint so i replaced all joints with greaseables.

If you are paying a hundred bones for each repair your getting majorly hammered. It cost me $85. 00 parts and labor for each P-Seal at a independent driveline shop, very reasonable.

Never have had a extended warr on any vehicle.
