You are as hard headed as they come, I show you in black and white, from the actual Dodge brochure, and your response is, "but my friend", well I have friends who say they know that, "Cummings is owned by Ford". I provided a link about individuals who are looking for the hardware because it wasn't there when they bought them and are wondering why the hardware is not there, and others tell them it was an option and how to rectify it. I know what I was told by the fleet manager, I test drove them, I researched them, AND FOR THE LAST TIME, I NEVER SAID I PAID FOR THE OPTION, you show me in writing smartash.

I did say and have the proof that my ordered C&C did include the EB in the cost of the truck, and does not show up as an option. But did the EB really come as a freebie, when I was given the details of the order, the costs were more than before the order. The Diesel option went from $5600. 00 to $6100. 00 and then there is now a "Ultra-Clean Diesel System" an extra cost of $995 added on top of the cost of the Diesel option.

BTW here is Post 25 you keep harping about, read it again C A R E F U L L Y, I do not claim I paid for the option.

If your talking about a 6. 7 exhaust brake, it was an option on the 07 MY in 06 with the C&C only, and had to be activated by the dealer, and there was a charge for the option. The 5. 9 had an option for the Jacobs exhaust brake which was operated by vacuum and the vacuum pumps are prone to failure. The PacBrake is an after market EB and is operated by compressed air and has a better reputation. The 48re's were not EB compatible until MY 06.

04. 5 CTD NV5600 3:73 2500 4X4 silver SLT,QC,LB. Sold to brother

07 6. 7 CTD G56 3:73 3500 C&C 4X4 white SLT,QC W/Elite flatbed by B&W.

2005 33. 5v Arctic Fox 5ver

1995 20' bluewater "BLOWN BONUS" boat.

2011 Ultra limited (FLHTK) Harley Davidson in Dark/light candy Rootbeer.

And here is your stupid reply. Please do point it out to me where I say I paid for it.

Your post #25 is still there, in your own words. It's strange the way you deny it.

While writing the last post you just couldn't help yourself and bury your head further into the sand. :-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf

If you post your friends MSRP sticker, I'll post mine, so lets see the differences, if his is truly an early C&C, it will show the differences.

RVPOSER,

If you put your venom aside and consider the issue logically, it makes no sense to call the exhaust brake an extra cost option. Every Cummins 6. 7 engine has/had a VGT installed. Every VGT has the capability to close and create exhaust braking.

Venom? It would take me months to post all the rude comments you post. You really are an angry old man! :-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf

RVPOSER,

Once again your posts prove precisely what I've said.

If you want anyone to believe you save the hundreds of weasel words and post the MSRP.

Do you believe TDR?

"The turbo is a Holset variable geometry turbo that uses fixed vanes and a sliding plate to provide the variable geometry. It is actuated by an electric valve. Durability was of primary concern to Cummins aengineers. When they looked at variable vane turbos they did not like what they saw. They felt that this Holset design was much simpler and more durable. The center section of the turbo is now water cooled. With the variable geometry turbo it can now be used as an exhaust brake. You can order as a factory option the controls to make the turbo function as an exhaust brake. All of the mechanicals are there in the turbo, but it needs the controls to function. It is quoted as being able to provide 35% more braking than the existing butterfly valve exhaust brakes. The switch for the exhaust brake will be integrated into the center stack of the instrument panel in the same area as the seat heater controls. "

Guys just an update- I did purchase the 06' w/ eight foot dump. Drove it back from Albany NY (250 MILES), Without incident. Cursing speed around 70 MPH, filled up tank when I got home, 25 gallons. About 10 miles per gallon (need to work on that). The engine hours at the time I picked it up (this morning) was 583 hours with 12,473 miles, which works out to 21. 394 m/g. Also, no codes. Truck handled very nicely going down the New York Interstate. Now need to sell my 03' dually, 4x4! Never a dull moment! Also, guys... as Rodney King once said "Can't we all get along". Have a good day. Frank

RVTRKN, your right I did notice a little more pep than my 03's w/ the 305 h. o. Can't wait to put her to work! Again thanks for all your insight regarding the 06' specifications. Frank

He can't bully me, I've dealt with his kind before, 4 years in the Army dealing with NCO's like him was enough for me. Not all NCO's are Hardheaded Pricks like him, but when you get one in your unit, it is sure hell.

I know, OOPS i was an NCO, but not a prick, Monte

I had some great NCO's when I was in the Army, but one that reminds me of him, was an E-6 that was assigned to my two truck bays, that I was in charge of, but I was only an E-4. We had a tight schedule rebuilding 2-1/2 ton trucks from the frame up, and I was training new recruits just out of AIT. (school) I showed her how to replace the radiator with out removing the fan blade. I came back and she was removing the fan blade, when I asked her if she understood what I had asked of her, she told me that Sgt Deardorf told her to do it by the book. To make a long story short, I almost went to the brig, because I came so close to hitting that Prick. I got him in the end though when I went to open door policy to the Base Commander about the production issues. (long story)

No offense mfurrh55.

RVPoser,

Looks like you intentionally copied the MSRP decal so that the price couldn't be seen. What were you hiding?

The "exhaust brake feature" is, was, and always has been provided by the OEM VGT which was an essential component of every 6. 7 engine. What was actually an option?

Your a coward, I can clearly see it on my iPhone, that is original MSRP for a early MY 07 C&C. The Exhaust Brake option is listed at $300. 00. If I can see it on my iPhone then you can see it on your desk top. REMEMBER IN BOLD PRINT !

The exhaust brake was NOT standard equipment on the first C&C trucks, not sure where the disconnect is... oh wait, it's Harvey...

I can't post a link so I scaned a spec sheet from Tommygun posted on 09-02-06 on the first page of the 6. 7 forum, if the scan is too small to read, just go there. Maybe someone can post the link, thanks. Some of the scan is too small to read but the exhaust brake option shows up. Maybe this will help.

Nick

NIsaacs, he doesn't want to see it, he's just a coward and won't admit it. He asked to see proof and the pictures I posted are the proof per the widow sticker HSmartash said didn't exist.
