whats catagorically false?? ok dodge is offering 1000 off, big freaking woop, lets keep in mind this is on a 2010 model, the ford we are comparing is a 2011 model, ford is offering 7200 cash back on 2010 models good lord that is a bunch of money off, which means if you bought a 2010 ford at invoice less incentives you are looking at around 35k for an XLT which is compariable to dodges SLT, if you want a 2010 dodge same truck be prepared to spend over 42k. that is why I laugh so hard when I see people catting around in 2010 dodges because I know they paid so much money for the truck it makes my head hurt.
as for 2011 fords costing 10k more, THAT IS CATEGORICALLY FALSE, I just did a build and price on a 2011 f250 XLT 4 door 4x4 auto with fords 1500 cash back it should run about 40 grand for the truck, a comparable dodge is going to be over 42k, again we are comparing a 2011 ford to a 2010 dodge, similar equipment etc. the ford is still cheaper.
I never thought I would ever consider a ford EVER, however after the way my '06 has sucked, I now am for my next truck. the ford engine might suck who knows, I think ford knows it laid a goose egg with the 6. 0 so if I was a betting man I would guess they have their ducks in a row this time. it does have a warranty to 100k, the ball joints and other parts should last that long, dodges don't so I might be money ahead. you have to commend ford for trying to get better fuel mileage, that is probably the biggest thing that has kept me out of a new truck, why would I want a truck that gets WORSE mileage than the one I have.
some people are too proud to admit the brand they purchased or chose might not have been the best choice, I am not one of those guys. I bought dodges because I thought they were the better truck overall, I was right until I bought my 2006 model. as for the dodge interior it still sucks and has the work truck looking canvas that is only slightly fancier looking than my '06, the new dodge gauges also look just like chevy's.
ask yourself does the 2010 dodge still have the same sucky ball joints, sucky u joints, 100k mile lifespan injectors, if the answer is yes why would you even consider a dodge again. those parts alone are many thousands of $$$ to replace.
