2013 ram 3500 6.7 remove front axles rh ???

Why not get a 3500 SRW? Essentially the same truck with higher ratings. It's not any more capable, just has more capacity on paper.

Dodge did announce that the GCWR's won't change for SRW trucks, but it does appear that a 3/4 4. 10 truck will get a 2K bump in GCWR, otherwise the SRW trucks appear unchanged.

I fully agree, a 2500 SRW should be a 9,900 GVWR, and a 3500 SRW should be 11,400 GCWR, with the current front axle. I also think they really need a 6,000 FAWR and the 3500 SRW GVWR should go up a little with that. 2500 should stay below 10,000 as 10,000 is the weight mark for mulitple states for weigh stations and the like. . Not that people with over 10K are stopping in a personal truck, but just a thought.

On Ram's Commerical truck website they are showing that the 2011 Mid MY 3500,2x2 Regcab will be the only truck capable of towing 22,700lbs in a 5th wheel application, with 4:10 rear axle selection. There are however some some changes in tow limits for the SRW 3500 last update was 2/08/11 on Ram Commerical Truck website I think I saw 18,750 with 4:10 option. So I am assuming as everyone waits for this truck to arrive currently,(I have heard mid April) that current 2011,the 650lbs trucks will be deeply discounted. I have looked around the web at various dealerships and I am beginning to see some serious discounting. A MSRP $51,000 truck marked down with dealer discount, and rebate they are coming in around a low of $32,800. 00 to a high of 42,000 on a mix of Ram 2500,3500,ST,SLT's,BigHorn's,SRW 4X2,4X4. Thoughts.

Thanks for all the replies. I requested a build sheet from RAM this morning and received it already.

I double checked the weight ratings on the labels in the truck.
GVWR of 96000
GAWR Front 5500
GAWR Rear 6010
Axle Ratio 3:73
Wheels 17x7. 5 Aluminum
BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A tires
LT265/70R17E
They are listing the Curb Weight as 6,444
Max Trailer weight of 12700

Thanks for having the report out here. I have been looking to buy a new 2011 and stared researching in march but was side tracked by other things going on. When I looked at the Dodge web site this last week to price one out I noticed they have changed the ordering format to include the new 800 when you add the auto trans.

Kevin,

Start a new thread with your question in the 4th gen forum.

More folks will see it and respond rather than missing it here at the end of this thread.

Mike. :)

I would start a thread with that question, and be sure to detail what you are wanting to achieve, as the end result is what dictates the mods...

Just drove the new '11 2500 mega cab 2wd 800 H/O with 6-spd auto of course. Like it's been said here, can't get the G56 in the H/O, too bad. But what a sweet ride this rig was. On sale for $42K. I'll keep my '05 2500 2wd qc G56 for awhile, it's almost paid off.

Mark

Thanks you

The only problem I see is the DW, see said NO. We do not need another new vehicle. The only I have is good enough, especially after all of the money I have put in it.

I just bought a 2011 Ram 2500 Crew Cab Laramie with the high output. Best truck I have ever bought to date. 350 hp. and 800 ft lb of torque pulls my toys around with no problems.

Hey moderator, thanks for a great forum. I was just wondering why this 2011 post is sticky?
Also, perhaps it's because I'm on a Mac, but the link in post #1 doesn't work.
Cheers
