4500 miles between oil changes still sucks my 13 will go 14,000to 16,000 if I let it. I've settled at 10,000 miles oil is still clean and has NO Fuel in it as per my oil sample tests. Cash the truck out while it's worth something and get a 13 or newer with the DEF system and be happy. There are a few good deals on some lightly used 13's....

Two years of dealing with this issue and a lot of frustration, including engine surging and electrical issues and availability of parts. I traded the truck in yesterday. If I had had a better option I might have considered a Ford only because of the lack of assistance from both Ram and the dealer. However, I purchased a 2015 identical to my 2012. We will see if I made the right decision.

I was at the Ford dealer trying to work out a deal on a new F250 super cab when my Ram dealer called and said get in here and pick out your next truck we've made the numbers work. Aside from some issues with the radio it's been the best truck I've ever owned it just runs and delivers good no scratch that great performance. Best of luck with the new truck.

Oil Changes

Please post your oil report also

I shift my 6 speed standard by using the tach and shifted to the next gear around 2100- 2200 rpms which in no way is lugging. I also drove steady speeds around 2000 - 2100 rpms. I've driven heavy duty trucks all my life and fully understands that lugging is not good for them. I'm optimistic I will not not experience with my new 2015.
