I think it is for the bracket that holds the optional muffler bearings, which are required if one is going to only use their truck as a grocery gett'r.

CALF - they are easier to meat! Milk fed veil!
STEER - harder to meat - unless grain fed to properly marble and add to taste! However larger size has more emissions to deal with.
