21s are hitting the lot with the CP3. I’ve seen a few pictures and videos with build dates of 11/20 and old reliable is back.

Looks like the TDR writers have been scooped! :p

Regardless good news!

Now let the CP4 class actions all GM style begin! Because History is going to repeat itself. Too bad Cummins wasn't paying attention at first. Now if they come out with a retrofit kit maybe that would be a good defense.

What is that water pump looking thing under the CP3? Have they went back to a water to air heat exchanger?

Aaaahhhhh man.... I hope they retrofit mine to a CP3 out of kindness. I'm guessing the only people who would get a retrofit from FCA are people who's CP4's took a dump. But then... FCA might just want to unload whatever CP4 inventory they have laying around. If so.... That means the 2019/2020 CP4 trucks are going to have a poor resale value. Since it was a cost saving move to the CP4 I doubt they are going to retrofit some 250,000 plus CP4 trucks to CP3.... They would have already announced it to all us guinea pigs since the 2021 CP3 equipped trucks are starting arrive. Dang them basstards!!!

Funny... The Cp-3 is back and the max torque is up even higher... The issue was never if the CP3 could handle the job it was always about the cost. How to make More Profit.

I suggest the aftermarket now has a new source of CP3's that are already "hopped up". Just order the 2021 part number... :D

Unless it ends up as a safety recall it’s unlikely they will replace it with a CP3, even if it fails. It’s still cheaper to warranty a small percentage of the trucks vs replace 100% of them.

I do think that 19-20’s will be worth less in a few years but likely not for a while. It will end up being like the 53 block.

This is great news! I've been holding onto my '14 with 120k miles. I tried looking for a leftover 18 a few months ago but they were bringing a premium already. I like to keep my vehicles past warranty and I didn't want to do that with a CP4. The possibility of a catastrophic error from a CP4 failure is a gamble I didn't want to take. The months of downtime would not work for me as I use my truck hauling cattle and equipment daily.

There are no cp4’s laying around, that’s why all the trucks with failed cp4’s are down for so long
