I said his tactics were questionable. His failure to get satisfaction is in large part due to his tactics. He will never be made whole given how much of himself he has obviously put into this battle.
And I still stand by my speculation - he's probably a very difficult customer for a waiter to please also. :-laf
Questionable tactics is a relative statement. Who are they questionable to? Obviously not to him. He views the insurance companies tactics as questionable.
Would I handle it this way, highly unlikely. Do I agree with what he is doing, yes and no. I don't think he is in the wrong. His method of handling it doesn't seem to work very well, but his purpose of drawing negative attention to the insurance company is obviously working. Maybe next time he'll consider that old addage "You can catch a lot more flies with honey".
I've jumped the gun a few times on some issues. Not as large as this but product returns that were obviously broken/damaged etc. I've also learned that if you smile and wait to see what the verdict is, you will usually be pleased. Most people are nice and want to do what they can for you until they are given a reason to not be nice.
As far as him being 'whole' again, never. For as important a person as he claims to be he is sure puttig forth a lot of time with that website. Maybe he has just decided not to sleep, I don't know, but I do know that I value my time enough to let others handle it, as nps suggested doing.
This is off topic but, as far as him not being nice to his waiter/waitress; my wife has waited tables on and off since she was 17 (about 12 years or so). It hacks me off to no end to see people treat a waiter/waitress like they are a servant. I love my wife dearly for many things but if for nothing else, her ability not to haul off and knock the hell out of some of the people that she has waited on! I'd make it about 0. 2 seconds as a waiter. :-laf
