Grew up in Lincoln until I was about 12 then started moving around. Currently reside in Boise. You know how it is being Nebraksan:

"You can take the boy out of Nebraska but you can't take the Big Red out of the boy".

Did my college learnin' at Boise State however.

Have thought about moving up to Boise. Pretty cold in the winter though huh?

Forgot - actually I was born in Lincoln - in Oct. There was a Husker game that weekend. :D

nps,

No, its not really that bad in the winter up here. I culled this off a realtor's website:

Because of its location and elevation (2,842 ft. above sea level), Boise's moderate climate adds to its quality. During the winter snow storms may blanket the nearby mountains but bring only rain to the valley. Snow does enter the valley but the typical winter day is cold with blue skies. Summer raises the temperature into the mid 90's. The average summer temperature is 90. 6 degrees Fahrenheit, while winter temperatures average 29. 1 degrees Fahrenheit.

I think that's pretty accurate. I know folks who ride their motorcycles almost year around! If I ever get that custom chopper I want, I will to!
