2500 or 3500 ?

Test drive them both on a rough road. The 3500 dualies have a beefed up front suspension to handle (cornering & braking) a larger tow haul capacity.

Reviews have said the 2500 rides better. I think the SRW has the same as DRW

I've gone over the recommemded pin weight in my 2500 with no problems.


Just thought I'd plug the 2500 to further confuse you all a mm do probably **** off some

I literally spent the last hour searching within 150 miles of my location for a 3500 SRW SB with the cummins and Aisin. There were 3 out of 280 something trucks with that setup. 1 Laramie Longhorn @ $72,000 , 1 Laramie Limited @ $74,000 , and 1 Tradesman stripped down @ $59,000. The first 2 are cost prohibitive for me and I don't really want a tradesmen with no cool gizmos in it.

Keep in mind that the 2015 leftovers are going at good discounts.......several members report on here that discounts have been in the 10,000 dollar range.

Can't get a manual stick shift transfer case in those high end models. Love my Tradesman? (Which actually has a few bells and whistles added..... but it's no Big Horn or Laramie)

Sticker was $49,000 on my tradesman. Got it for about $40,000.

I lived in area with open roads i would go for a stick in a heartbeat. Living in southern, CT though it get old with how much traffic there is around here.

Don't overlook the Tradesman models. Prior to buying my 2015 SLT I looked at several Tradesman with so many upgrades that some were actually nicer than my SLT.

Don't forget the 3500 SRW is only available with the 3:42 rear diff, and if your close to max GCWR it's not a good combination. My 2500 at GVWR is headed for shop warranty for a noise that sounds like a bad diff (3:42)

I bought a 3500 SLT when we were ready to by a 2500 Tradesman. I'm glad I bought the 3500, though it does have the 68rhe and 3:42 differential. It tows our 33 foot 5th-wheel very well. The ride is about equivalent, or maybe even slightly better, than the 2003 2500 that I upgraded from.

Trust me there are good deals on left over 2015's. 11K+ in my case. I bought a truck outfit exactly the same as this one in Deep Cherry Red over Silver Monday(Friday reall, go it Monday). Drive home was fun. They had a Granite Crystal one also, however it seems to be gone. SNOKING

I shed a tear when I left my 06 at the dealer but forgot that I even owned it by the time I got home in the 15
