I was wanting to now what kind of results others have had trying to level (lift) the front of their trucks. I have read a few threads, but not about any results. (Anyone have a pic of their truck with these mods. ) I have been looking at the spring spacers, how did they work out. Is it possible to change to a different spring. . taller?? Not trying to make a 4WD out of the truck, but just wanting it to sit more level. Thanks

I'm interested too. If the front can't go up, does anyone know if replacement shackles are available to lower the rear a couple of inches?

I Just installed a set of 2" front lift springs in my 2wd v-10. these were necessitated because of the Reunel Front bumper. the bumper didn't cause it to sag, but it would dive under hard braking.
Valley Spring Works (Dixon,CA) made me a set of custom coils, for $235. They raised the pass side 2" and the driver 1 3/8". I'm going to get another set made because more weight is being added to the front.

I'll post the phone number as soon as I find it on my desk.

I ditched my 2wd's 1" spacers last summer along with the overloads. It handles noticeably better & rides a bit better. Makes me wonder why D/C started putting those in there in the first place, older trucks (about pre 1998) don't have spacers on the 4x2 trucks.

I always thought my 97 2wd was a little nose heavy & set too low. I jacked it up high enough to drop both lower control arms, took the coil springs out, and put 1" rubber ring type spacers under each spring. (take the 4 big bolts out on the wishbone end next to the oil pan out, remove the shocks & one end of a little stabilizer, the spring will fall out, no need to take it apart at the ball joint) It sits level, handles & steers the same, and has no effect on alighment. They have been there for about 100k miles now & still holding their shape. It eliminated the nose heavy feel, & brought the front end up about where it should be. I had an old 84 chevy diesel, and the springs lost their height on it. When it bottomed out, it broke the upper shock studs out of the frame, and I had to weld them in, & get new springs!
