370 injector gasket thickness?

The horseshoe washers can usually be reused several times. Be sure to clean everything including the sealing surface in the injector wells of the head. t anti-seize on the injector steel o-ring and threads of the big nut. Q-tips work great but don't drop them through the hole onto the piston #ad

Koa Man,
If you are still running the 'medium'(. 060") washers with your 370's change them to the 'thin'(. 020") ones.

I made the change on mine and it really made a big difference. The midrange power is definately stouter and lower egt's to boot. #ad

Rebel, thanks for the input about the change. Joe D had emailed me a few days ago and advised me to do the same thing. Been so busy with work no time to do much of anything. I will probably take off on Prez Day instead of working like I had originally planned and make the change then. I have my plate slid back . 040 so I'll probably move it back to the center position. Have to be ready for those Durapuffs and PSDs. Normally I'm at a big disadvantage because I usually have a load and/or towing something.

Hello Joe

There is some controversy over washer thickness on the 370 Injectors and there some of us who have recently purchased them and are interested in the results of your dyno testing results on this subject. Thanks for any help ypu can give.

Probably giong to install my 370's tommorow, and doing just as Piers told me to, go with the . 020 washers. I will be talking to him for sure before this. Expect a phone call tommorow morning from a crazy farmer Piers!



It may sound weird, but I am looking for the least amount of power with these installed. As I become more familiar with the amount of power the will produce there is no way I will be able to resist bumping things up a little. Maybe the least amount will be enough. Will also be installing governor spring kit. I'm pumped.
