I remember that with my 2nd gen 2000 CTD that all you had to do to get the fogs to stay on with the brights was to remove a relay under the hood and wire in a jumper. It took all of 1 minute and $0. 25 to do! :) No such luck on the 3rd gens?????

Hey Rammers,

Just wanted to let you know that we have developed a series of products for this application. We know the computerized lighting system in these trucks have caused some to balk at having to buy two Brite Boxes.

We now have a new product - the Fogster - that keeps the factory fogs on with high beams. This is a single box installation, costs a little over a hundred bucks, and due to the fact that DC uses a quality fog light (Hella) it gives a lot of bang for the buck. Does not give the same performance as a dual Brite Box install (no low beams with highs like a full boat Brite Box system), but now we have a system for every budget.

Follow this link to our website to see the lighting options we have for the 3G Ram: http://thebritebox.com/3g.ram.bb.stages.html.

In response to ceaman’s post, we are offering a special on the Brite Box (fog light) kit – buy the Brite Box and we will throw in a set of the fog light harnesses and o-rings. Baker Auto Accessories.

Okay... So I decided to take Joel up on this offer and gave him a call. Total price for the SDK7 + FLC was over $230.  Yes, he would throw in the fog light harness ($25 value) free with this purchase.

Here is the deal. I don't mind anyone making a profit for their work but I do take exception to charging more for this product, on the TDR Forum then you would have to pay for it through Geno's. Geno's price for the same Brite Box with the Fog Light Control is $189. 95. Yeah, you don't get the "FREE" harness but it is still over $40 cheaper. Makes that $25 "FREE" harness not look very "FREE" doesn't it... :(

I don't understand your point, Geno's is simply a reseller of Baker's product, buys at wholesale and adds some for a profit.

Baker can't control how much off of suggested list Geno's sells at. The box you are talking about has a "suggested list price" of 315. 00 so they are not charging more, they are making you a deal and it just so happens Geno's is willing to take an even lesser profit and make you a better deal.

If you buy from Geno's they will reorder more stock from Baker, if Baker cuts his retail even more to compete with his own resellers then they won't have any resellers.

Either way you go I am sure you will be happy, I did this mod and if I were to buy another truck it would now be on my list of changes first before the other stuff. . it really is worth it IMO.

Okay... Let me try this another way...

You and I both know that Baker knows what Geno's is charging for their product. I don't expect the manufacturer to under cut Geno's. That's why you will generally pay more if you go directly to a manufacturer. What I don't like is the fact that they make it sound like your getting a "special deal" on the TDR when it isn't. They won't even match Geno's price. Ergo... the "FREE" cable offer isn't really "FREE. " That's my only point... ;)

Your right... they should leave the price the same as it has been at 230. 00 and charge the 25 for the harness, that way they wouldn't mislead anyone.
