Well, what brought all this out is that Iam getting alot of white smoke on start up. Takes 3 to 4 attempt to get it sarted and once it starts and cleans up it runs great. Iam working with a very good specialty shop called Dyno-Mite in Monroe WA. They believe that I have an air leak in the rubber fuels lines. Very common problem on this vintage. Need to have lift pump timed. He is estimating that Iam around 230 HP with current mods. Will adjust timing , fuel pump timing and valves. General tune up. Said could get it up to 300HP. I also have a Southbend Con and it will handle the additional power. I have owned this rig about 10 months and didnt install the #6 plate. It most likely has a boost elbow. Dont beleive it has the 3k GSK. I will ask my mechanic genius if this mod is a good thing or not. Iam still a bit ignorant on this new beast in my lfe. I learn a little each time I have to spend money. They drove my rig to test drive before repair and will dyno it before all adjustments for a baseline and give me the dyno after the work is done. This work has been long overdue. I hope I dont have a failed lift pump. I sense that this is not the problem nor a preheater. Will see
