444 is an N14, correct?
Actually its in the NTC 855 family, the 365, 400 and 444 XT's were the STC (step timming control... 1988) engines, which were grey in color like the later N-14's. The older yellow Big Cam I, II, III, and BC IV engines had the MVT or mechanical valve timing system. The mechanical N-14 came in around 91, then the electronic N-14E or Celect and later the Celect Plus N-14 in the mid 90's.
The great 444 XT STC engines had the most stock hp untill the electronic N-14's came out in 91/92.
One really neat find would be an old 475 Cummins twin turbo NTC. Those are pretty rare. iIve only seen pictures of an old 359 Peterbilt 475 twin that was bone stock and restored. Guy wanted 48K for it.
