Has any one used one with the toggle switch to lock up the valve body? I have just re-built the transmission with a billet input shaft & transtar over-haul kit. It will keep it locked in gear after convertor lock-up in O. D. or 3rd. gear w/O. D. off. Anyone have different results? Thanks for any info.

I installed a mystery switch like that on my 97 and it locked up great, but after using it a few times it kept creating codes in the ECM. So, I replaced it with the co-pilot controller instead. But, I still have complaints about my ATS transmission and the way it works. .

Yep, works great on all the generation trucks. If your VB is modified correctly it will lock the TC in automatic 1st and 2nd, and manual 1st and 2nd.

If you have any problems with codes just add a 30 ohm 1/2 watt resistor between the switch and the ground.

Thanks for the replies, they tried selling me a controller for $450 but I used the toggle switch for many years trouble free w/the sun coast valve body on the old transmission. ;)

I have had good luck with the ATS lock up controller. I really like it. If the toggle switch worked with your old transmission, and you like it, stick with it. It should work with the new one. Good luck.
