2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 4X4 to Tall Want to lower, help!!!

I have looked at the various threads on this topic, and have not found a detailed explanation on how to lower the front, I can see the back is a piece of cake, my only question is about the Shocks on the rear, after you install shorter blocks. Now the front, looks as if you can spare about 1 1/2", but what about the track bar? Mine is shot anyhow, go figure. I know somebody out there in TDR land has done this and I am just surprised I can not find it described in great detail. Thanks
