Is your town small? Some of us in BIG citys can't get around very easy. (you would be run over if not drowned by all our rain)

The town has about 5000 year round residents. It's pretty easy to get around, when it's not snowing!

In Seattle a building I service there are 5000 in just one of the 6 they have. My daughter lives in Yricka CA they are just about 5K. IMHO it's too small for me, they seem to roll the sidewalks up after dark. LOL

I've seen 5. 209 /gl. here in Long Island, New York. Yesterday I filled up my 2003 Jetta TDI wagon. $68. 00 of diesel @ 5. 099/gl. On the plus side I can drive all week. My truck been parked pretty much. I use it once in a while locally.

was snooping around at work today and came across an internal email... it looks like my company is projected to spend $1. 4 billion on fuel for 2008 for all the locomotives they fuel in north america... that's a lot of money. . makes the $3,500 or so i am going to spend look real small...

average price in outside toronto right now is about $5. 52/gallon

Headshot Zod,

Up here is Fairbanks you have oil or wood. Natural Gas is just starting to make inroads here but as they have to truck in the gas is isn't a player and neither is propane. My supervisor pays 500. 00 a month in fuel oil to heat his house. I just heard that fuel oil is 4. 35 a gallon. Of course I've tried to check these prices online but all the bulk sales people refuse to post their prices. I can't wait until I can get on my boat and sail away!

I heard that the Mexican Diesel Is not ULSD ? Anyone know ? And the specific sulphur content ? I heard that the border patrol wont let you bring in more than 100 gallons at a time and depending where you cross at . You know that 2008 dodges are sold there too and they would or wouldnt have DPF and catylytic filters ? Anyone know about this market? And fuel specifics ?

Wdaniels, quick question, How long is heating season up there? I know there is a brutal 3 hour mosquito season, but how many months do you actually need heat?

11. 00 + dollars a gallon !!!! Globalization is killing America and our wallets due to "Concerns".

Americans must Prepare to Endure Tremendous financial Hardship With Fossil Fuel Pricing !!!!

On Tuesday, hundreds of British truck drivers in London and Cardiff brought traffic to a crawl in a campaign to get their government to lower taxes on diesel fuel, which now costs over $11 per U. S. gallon (3. 8 liters). Other businesses owners who rely heavily on gas use — including farmers, ambulance and taxi drivers, and private bus companies — have joined the protest movement or are preparing to do so.

Those labor protests reflect the financial hit millions of Europeans are taking at the Diesel/Gas pumps. As American drivers groan over gas prices over $4 a gallon, and Diesel pushing over $5+ and prices increasing daily.

The French are paying $8. 67 for a gallon of super, compared to $7. 10 in January, 2007. A gallon of diesel in French gas stations averages $8. 54, up from $5. 35 just a year ago. And in the U. K. diesel costs $11. 50 per gallon, compared to around $4. 75 to the mid $5's in the U. S.

Across the European Union, the average cost of a gallon of gas runs to about $8. 70 — more than twice what Americans are shelling out to fill up. And Europe's dizzying fuel costs would be even worse if it weren't for the considerable appreciation of the euro and the British pound against the dollar over the past year, which has partially offset the price escalation in dollar-traded oil.

We are so lucky for the dollar devaluation as it increases our fuel cost exponetially.

Fuel in San Diego area is 4. 99 gal . Gas has crept up . 20 a gallon in the past week . Why? because the refineries have found a new cash cow DIESEL , they know things have to be transported, gas people can park em' and carpool gas is being imported from neighboring states. GO FIGURE

how can everything be so much cheaper in mexico if we are paying the supposedly paying market price here 4. 59 and 59 miles away they are lined up to fill up in mexico at 2. 10 a gallon anyone know the sulphur content of the mexican fuel ?

This is not a supply and demand issue, this is a market price issue, and we are living in a heavily inflated market.

Mexican diesel in Tecate, Baja California yesterday was $2. 19 and it's the old good stuff from 2007... low sulfur... not ultra low sulfur. 100 Gallons is the maximim you can bring back in an auxilary tank. The tank MUST be plumbed to the truck's fuel system or you could get turned back to Mexico (this from a friend who works for Customs @ Tecate. )

Mexico relies on its own crude oil sources which means they don't have to buy mideastern crude like we do at inflated world prices. Mexicans must be a lot smarter than we are. If the blowdried empty suit fools prancing around in Congress spouting lies and false accusations about the oil industry would vote to remove the restrictions on drilling in AK and off our coasts we too could be energy indendent like the poor, backward nation of Mexico. If they did we could then enjoy fuel at similar prices to what MX pays.

I'll try not to be abrasive HB, (I know I can be an @ss), but that's still thinking in terms of supply and demand problems. By that logic, Canada should have $2. 00gal fuel, but we don't because fuel / oil is not priced on supply and demand at the moment, but rather based on a falsely created inflated energy market.
