FASS, what is it?

Folks,

I didn't want to place a group purchase add for this because I wanted to see who is interested first. Hope I am not breaking any rules or anything.

I just talked with a large exhaust shop/distributer owner out of NJ who is willing to do a group purchase on 5" 14 gauge mandrel bent from turbo back with muffler for $275. then figure $20 for shipping. I have seen pictures and it looks qaulity. Also for you kids that like to run muffler-less, he said he could do that too. I may be able to talk him into doing 4" for some of the group purchase if folks want that instead. By the way, the kit comes with all the mounting hardware and clamps. I was calling him to place an order for a 5" and even that price of $305 is dam good. I told him 10 kits for the group. Anyway, figured I'd throw this out there and see if anyone else is interested.

Thanks,

Ken

Bob,

I actually found them by perusing E-bay and saw thier add for the 2003 5". I called them to see if they offered for the Gen 2 trucks and just happen to ask if the guy would be interested. Here's there website with a pic of the 2003's. Says and Looks mandrel to me. Let me know what you think.

I'M IN!! :D

That seems incredibly cheap for a full 14ga mandrel bent exhaust... especially turbo-back. Can you verify this included the downpipe? If this is truly the case... count me in for one!!! Can we get one with both the muffler AND a piece of straight pipe for a few bucks more so I can try both ways?

I made sure I clarified from turbo back and he confirmed downpipe all the way out. Dunno about the extra pipe thing. Let's see if we can get the 10 orders and then we'll ask for extra's. :)

Same price. I think he is just interested in the large order. I can clarify on that when I call him back. When He asked me would we want muffler or no-muffler systems, I said not sure but most likely with muffler. His reply was maybe half and half or so?

I said probably.

I just got an email from them saying the only offer 4" for second generation Dodge. I asked for my 98. Here's the answer I got:

We only have 4" for your year. The cost is 279. 00 with muffler and 259. 00 without muffler. Shipping is extra

What gives?

Ok, I talked to Anthony over there and he told me they are going to be done with the 5" in couple weeks for the "GEN 2"They where just working on mounts. If your interested in calling and checking up on it again, talk to Anthony. Guy will probably get fed up with all of us calling if this gets out of hand though. I'll be placing my order before it goes that far though.

Sorry if I got ya excited there, LOL. Was just one email;) I didn't see it on there site, so I figured I'd ask. Double checking is never a bad thing in my opinion. Do we get a break on the S/H in the group purchase, email said 30$ to 50$? I promise I won't call him to ask... ... ... ... ... ... ... . :D :D ;)

someone should buy one, test and report back with firm facts

remember what they say "you get what you pay for" not a put down but drone is a known problem on some systems.

and the info on the site has alot to be desired :(

Ok. I'll probably buy one this week. I can understand your feelings. Just wanted to see the interest first. Keep you all posted once I recieve it and get it installed.

Thanks,

Ken

First post for me on the site, but I just want to say you can count me in for one 5" system with no muffler. Provided it is verified to be good quality including the downpipe and hangers.

excited? Nah. I just don't want the guy to get flustered with requests and say to hell with us. It seems like a good deal. Only way we will all know is if one of us gets one so I'll buy one and past down my findings. As for shipping, I wouldn't assume we wouldn't get to much of a break since it would be cost out of his pocket but the ebay auction did say $20 for shipping.

exhaust system

I'm very interested in a 5" system with muffler, e-mail if it looks like and good system and your going to do a group order.
