Competition Came in 3rd again at local pull...

That's interesting, did you measure 87psi pre-intercooler or after? Any data on temperature drop across the intercooler?
 
You might try ditching the grid heater or grinding out the 1/4" step inside the stock cast intake plenum. I went for the big bertha model.
