5spd Problem

I don't know anything about 1st Gens. Friend with 93' 5spd is having problems. Sounds like it could be the input shaft. Does anyone have a parts diagram or repair instructions for the Getrag? Thanks.

the factory service manual has the whole breakdown on the getrag, and the rebuild steps. what are some of the symptoms? maybe some of the guys on here can help you, or at least offer some experience.

What exactly is it doing? You are wise to try to fix it early. Previous owner of my W350 wasnt so smart- there wasnt much useable from the old transmission.
