Well as many local TDR friends know I live in my 33' 5th wheel and well after 3 years the carpet is showing it. I have been offered free carpet remnants out of house carpeting project and it is very high end carpet. Has anyone evr done this in their fifth wheel? The question sI have are the following...
I have 3 slideouts - is there any paricular height that will interfere with slideouts and cause damage to the carpet?
Can I use padding? - Also I am being offered the padding is there any reason with the slidouts that I cannot use padding sure would be nice for the feet and some insulating value...
How to carpet under the slidouts? - Do you jack up the slides or?
Also has anyone come up with a good solution to wear problems on the steps into the upper area? Mine has taken a tremendous beating on the edges in the entry area and into the bedrrom area.
I have a friend who lays carpet and said he would help but he has never done it in a trailer with slideouts so we want to make the right choices so if anyone has done this please chime in.
Thanks for everyones ideas and help I don't want to pass up the free carpet as I am on a limited 0$ budget and it is the right color...
