I don't think it's a matter of "Brand A has fully reversable ball joints vs Brand B who has a 3 gallon blinker resivoir" THEY ALL SUCK. Period. I had an 01 F-150 with a 4. 6 5 spd that wouldn't get out of it's own way. Every time it rained it ran really rough and I got to replace another coil. At $100 a pop with eight of them on that engine and a head that was speacially designed to retain water I dumped it like a bad habit.
With 46,000 miles on the ford I traded it in on an 2500 01 HO with 96,000. Got 2,000 miles on it before a scyro grenaded in my driveway, BACKING UP! Thank goodness for a 30 day warranty from the dealer the transmission bill was $2,600. Then at 101,000 miles I got aquinted with the famous lift pump, and at 108,000 I got to replace the apps... ...
It just keeps going and going. Not to leave anyone out my parents both had early 80's Oldsmobile with the Olds 350 diesel. I still get the chills thinking about the repair bills they saw on those!
The cummins is the only desirable feature of this truck, other wise all trucks are on the same sub-standard level. All are made of the lowest grade/priced material possible to still sell a new one. In the end they all break.
