Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I swung by my local infamous Dodge 5 Star dealer today just to check on a few things from other threads to see how much I would be spending on aftermarket parts.
Talk about a hard sell!
They wanted me to buy an automatic (maybe because that was ALL they had in stock) but I was insistent on a 6 speed.
Then they tell me the 6 speed isn't holding up to the "600" well and they are "fixing it" to handle the extra torque. So that extra 45ft lbs of torque between the 555 and 600 is killing the NV5600?
I almost laughed in their face but I kept my cool as I really wanted to see how desperate they were to sell me one of their trucks. I also neglected to tell them I had an '05 on order for about $12K less than they would want for the same truck.
But being me, I figured there might be a little bit of truth to what they were saying. So, does anyone know if they are beefing up the NV5600 for the '05 models? What would they be doing to it? I know there are many members putting much more than 600 torque through these without any problems.
