I'm a previous owner of a 99 24V 4x4 5sp with 4:10's. VA box + 4" exhaust. I was running 37inch tires with levelling kit. I never got under 17 mpg. My "new" truck is 95 12V 4x4 with auto trans and 4:10's also with a 4" exhaust I'm running
34-1/2 inch tires. I can't get over 10 mpg.
To me this sux.
The previous owner said he changed (or maybe ground his own) the fueling plate and cranked up the screw. Not sure exactly what that is as I'm a n00b with 12 valves...
The truck seems to run very well (although no ballz compared to my 99, no blow by, does not burn oil. Compared to my 24 V with Van Akken box + 275 injectors, this ones a dog...
I'd be perfectly happy with 300 HP and 600 FT LBS Torque and if I could at least get my 17-18 mpg back I'd be satisfied.
So I watched this vid....

Any opinions on these mods? Do the forum members think I should do these mods or buy a hot rodded p pump? It almost seems like this guy's package is a "work around" for having a low HP early P Pump.
Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree but I'd really like to get 600 FT lbs of torque down low in the RPM's without spinning the motor to 3000 rpm's.......AND better mileage.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance
Sean
