Any slack in the steering linkages and the track bar can contribute to the wobble. Any reputable front end shop can do the job as you will need an alignment when finished.
I have a 1996 Dodge RAM 4x and had the same problem. The death wobble is associated with a basically weak structure in the front end frame along with play in the track bar. This problem was countered by Solid Steel and carried forward by BD and others. Works very well and solves the death wobble problem. Look up Genoes garage parts BD-1032004 Steering box stabilizer and BD-1032011 track bar kit. That will stabilize your front end and reduce your terror. That death wobble is really a rough ride.
Would you say the Synergy drag link unit is worth the $ over a 3rd gen upgrade?Install a T-Steering upgrade, set it to 0 (Zero) Toe in, problem solved, once and for ever.
And it tracks way better.
