Tried MBRP aluminized 4” muffler kit in my ‘01, lasted 2 years and the muffler ends popped off, was sorely disappointed. Replaced muffler with a flowmaster pro series muffler which got rid of the loud drone I had with the MBRP and couldn’t be happier, stil has quite a bit of sound too. Dont waste your money on MBRP, they aren’t what they used to be.
 
MBRP had a bad run of mufflers at one time. My original came apart, too. They replaced them with free shipping and no questions asked. My aluminized steel MBRP system was on two different trucks for over 400K miles with that replacement muffler.

@Joey.G , Google MBRP diesel exhaust and go to one of the retail seller sites like the one I linked above. I believe Jeg’s and Summit Racing carry it, too.
 
What are you struggling with? Material? Size?

If money’s no object, or if you live where you’ll be in a lot of road salt, go SS, but as I said, my aluminized steel system held up well. I didn’t drive mine in the snow and ice much at all. No need for bigger than 4”. With or without a muffler is up to you. Mine came with a nice SS tip.
 
The 61120’s are 5” systems, not necessary. The 6100’s are 4”.

The SLM and XP systems are made of 409 SS. They are SS but will still develop surface rust.

The PLM/SLM is their cheapest without a muffler and without a tip. It has a 2-piece over-axle instead of their normal 1-piece. It’s cheaper and easier to make the 2-piece and it comes in a smaller box, cheaper to ship. I have seen rust problems at that extra joint. I don’t recommend it.

The Installer (aluminized) and XP (SS) series is their standard system with a muffler and a tip.

The Pro series is their top-of-the line, higher quality 304 SS system with a muffler and a tip.

The Performance series has a mini muffler and no tip.
