Have yet to do the speed sensor.

I didn't see where you posted a complete description of the problems your transmission is experiencing, but if it's erratic or delayed shift points, then definitely replace the output shaft speed sensor first. The part costs less than $20 at your favorite auto parts store and literally takes 5 minutes to change.



If that doesn't cure the problem, please post more details of the symptoms and we'll take it from there.

Will do, thank you. It started out with sluggish upshift in low gear, and after I replaced the governor pressure sensor and solenoid, turned into erratic shifting. I will do the speed sensor this weekend and post an update.

Ok, speed sensor replaced, the shifting still jerks. Don't know if it's just me expecting it, but is does seem smoother and less frequent. Definitely noticeable at low speeds and from a stop though. Part of the original issue was that the transmission (lever) would also not go into 2nd or 1st gear, and I would not force it. Still seems the case.

Ok, final verdict: low trans fluid. Not sure how I overlooked that one. Topped it off, and it seems to shift fine.
