Chad, are those the reman blocks that were in a Mopar mag awhile ago? I remember hearing that cummins was remaning short blocks for chrysler. I have slept since then though lol

I put 4. 56s in mine hoping to get through the traps @7000. Lots of rain and a set of POS hoosier Quick time DOT tires(DO NOT BUY THOSE) kept me from making it the track at the end of the season. I ended up cracking a piston on the highway trying to race a 911 lol. Like i said earlier the new motor will need my 3. 91s back to keep me from being 8000 at the traps lol

'70 340 Swinger, 83,000 mile tired, much abused motor(previous owner)never apart,(needs it) mostly leftover/hand me down/robbed parts are D. C. 292/. 508 cam, torker intake, 800 d. p. , T. A. 3800, 4. 56, M/T 8. 5x26". After a very, very long time the finish line comes up at 12. 75/105. Would love to have it go faster but with local track paying the same they were 20 years ago, i. e. $15 for a 3rd round loser (being realistic on win chances for an 'occasional" racer, thats a "good" day, most days you will go home with $0), with about $60 cost to race (eating a packed lunch) a new motor is not going to happen anytime soon. Glad it doesn't have a 6 speed, it would be even slower.

Yhea, I did drive on the street a short while with 4. 88's. My combination really calls for 4. 56's since I go through the traps @ 6500RPM. Since I made the commitment and had the roll cage installed, it's now a racer, but thats not to say it will never have plates on it ever again! I'm going like gangbusters trying to get it out of storage and ready for the Atlantic Nat's @ Englishtown next weekend!
